    Hello!

Im new in UO/on Europa and so far Ive meet really nice people... until today. I was hunting Swoop and some dude came in with GD and started attacking it. I asked him to stop but obviously he didnt really understand. Im not gonna call names but I checked him and his guild on uo.com and tbh I wasnt really surprised.

So Im asking is that normal here on certain single spawns like Swoop, Miasma etc. or am I just unlucky and found an ass?

  2. They exist on every shard I'm afraid - and since you are playing in trammel ruleset lands, you can't do anything about it. Some people are just plain rude, in game and in real life. I only hope that this player's obvious lack of courtesy doesn't put you off the game. There are many in UO who do have respect for other players and would never jump in and take your spot without asking you first. I have traded turns with many a tamer on atlantic killing Swoop and such.

PS also, don't let yourself turn in to a player who does such things - that would be an even bigger tragedy.

As Phineas says, they're on every shard. There's good folks too though, so don't let him put you off :)

I used to train my pets there and nothing like that ever happened. I do know, however, a guy who cant speak english and who hangs out there from time to time, so there is a slight chance that he really didnt understand you.

Since it takes quite some time for some players to kill the swoop, instead of waiting, you occasionally hear questions like 'Can I help?' or more directly 'Can I join?'. I never turn down these since it's -again- not kind to claim a spawn only to yourself and dont want to share with other players. I know this wasnt the case for you so you were just unlucky to find a player like that.
