I haven't yet bought High Seas yet, but is it still worth playing a fisherman without it? I solo alot, and I don't toss nets.

So much to take in..... since I left

And if I purchase High Seas, does that mean I will now be open to attack from pirate ships, orc ships, and other ships?

You already open to attack even without HS

So in other words, if I don't have a new ship with cannons, I am sunk???

Forward fast and you have chances to escape on any ship, even without cannons.

Personally, since the price for the high Seas was reduced, I'd buy it.
It makes fishing a whole lot more fullfilling.
