Question regarding Mage PvP Suit

    I haven't PvPed with a mage since pre pub 16 (not kidding) but I thought I would give it a try once again, now I have built a suit and was wondering if it is a good/decent mage PvP suit..here are the stats:

    Damage Eater 17%
    Kinetic Eater 30%
    Spell Damage increase 30%
    Lower mana cost 40%
    Lower Regant Cost 100%
    Hit point Regen. 12
    Mana Regan. 16
    Hit Point Increase 10
    Mana Increase 26
    Enhance Potions 75%
    Fast Cast Recovery 6
    Fast Casting 2
    Defence Chance Increase 55% (10% refinement bonus)
    70/70/65/65/70 (the 65 cold and poison due to refinement on gorget and leggings but also have extra pair of each with same mods but no refinments)

    So is this a good set up or not ? ....that is just suit and Jewls alone no shield or wep/book

    Remember if using a "common" mage weap (Bokuto) you will need +15 magery to counter for it. I'm not sure if you have this already on your jewels?

    I favor a mage weapon (Bokuto) beacuase you can gain an extra 15 DCI, and 2 HPR and then have a free hand to chug pots.

    Also watch out for corpse skin!

    I'll give you some suggestions, but looks like you are off to a fantastic start.

    Enhance pot is capped at 50ep from items, so you can remove 25.
    if possible, i'd recommend dropping some mana increase and getting more hit point regen (cap is 18)
    You mentioned refinements, i thought refinements were only for non-medable armor? i wouldn't recommend making a straight mage with non-medable armor.
    you can probably ditch some dci and throw a dci shield on or something, frees up a mod but not a neccesity if you don't feel like it, but other than those concerns you are looking really solid.

    Yes the 2 refined pieces are studded so not medable but was thinking going focus but was test while writing this and no med kinda sucks...so gonna swap out the two to my leather pieces,which changing my leggings I'll add 15% fire eater(don't know if its a biggie since 17% damage eater) 3 more HP Regan since current leggings are LRC 20 lmc 8 3 mana Regan mana 8 cf 3% and the new legs are fire eater 15% LRC 15 lmc 8 mana Regan 3 HP Regan 3 cf 2...also forgot the above set up is 5% cf but will drop to CF 4% with new leggings.

    Now I didn't know they dropped Ep to a 50% cap on items so that means I can swap out my jewls a bit...currently I'm using inquisitors and night eyes for my 6 fcr with a 50% ep ring and 25% ep bracelet,so knowing that I can drop the ring and go with omething else...now my DCI is all jewls, clothing and the night eyes and slither...10% slither, 5 garb,5 sash,5,tangle,5 quiver, 10 night eyes, 15% bracelet (the Bracelet is 18% Sdi, EP 25%, DCI 15%,FC 1)(Ring is 50% Ep, LRC 10%, SDI 12%, FC 1)

    DJAd..I currently don't have a bokuto was thinking about making one of buying one to add 2 more hpr..now I know in PvP SDI is capped at 30% if you have no more then 30 add main skill points if so then drops to 15% now I really don't know what that means..right now I'm guessing if I had say 20 magery and 15 eval that 35 main skill so drops my SDI ..that's way I see if but I can be wrong and guessing I probably am lol...but also didn't see the point of adding magery to make up the -15 being that at my 120 magery will drop to 105 and I don't think you need more then 105 magery to always not fizzle on flame strike (flame strike possibly being highest spell casted) but again can be wrong

    Its a very good suit.
    Personally i like to have and extra 15 resist in physical so i can run protection if i need too.
    I also favor a shield with 100 anatomy instead of a mage weapon (so many disarm spammers)
    Running a non med suit is very possible, if you decide on a shield one with soulcharge can be very good
    HPI is a little low but im sure you realize this. if you can keep your hp up high enough with str potions it would be ok.

    Yes I'm gonna run a shield...but trying to decide on making shield or going with heaphstus with heaphtus I get the extra 8 lmc 1 fc and 15 phy resist so with shield my phy is over capped be 87 I believe also the 1 fc mean I can drop fc off a jewelry piece and run another mod or 2...and forgot to mention I'm gonna run elf and not human rather have the 20 mana and use off woodland armor over the base 3 Mr and extra carry weight of human ( or that's all I know from human gets but could have changed in my time away from uo)

    There retweaked the suit...stats now using the haephtus shield are

    Kentic eater 27% (can make it 30 well 32% with cloak)
    SDI 30%
    CF 4
    Mana 8
    HP 20 (using slither and crimson since no need for tangle since DCI is maxed without)
    MR 16
    HPR 16
    Stam Regan 2
    LRC 100%
    Lmc 40%
    DCI 45%
    Fcr 6
    Fc 2
    EP 50%
    70/70/64/70/72

    Hope I made it better or I wasted a lot of gold lol (currently set up for elf since gorget and arms are woodland but can swap out to full leather but lose 2 hpr and 15% kinetic eater until I buy or make a 15% kinetic eater gorget or sleeves)
