1st: What monsters drop Flax seeds?

2nd: Why are they having flax drop "cotton bales"??

Um, unless my memory is completely shot I seem to recall in high school Vo-Ag that cotton bales comes from cotton plants. Which we have outside Moonglow and Skara Brae. :mf_prop:

Why not have flax give flax bundles like this ?

I'm not complaining just thinking...I just like it when things sorta make sense.

  3. UO's introduction of flax seed serves as a timely reminder for all UO players to introduce raw organically grown flax seeds into the diet (in real life).

Flax seeds (but only when eaten raw) is one of very few dietary sources of raw Omega-3 fatty acids, that have anti-cholesterol, anti-diabetes and anti-cancer health giving properties.

Even the king of health-giving oils, the Olive oil (again health-giving only when consumed raw), loses out to the flax seed insofar as the essential (meaning it cannot be synthesized by the body's own biochemical processes and must be consumed in the diet) Omega-3 fatty acids are concerned.

UO shoud give temporary stats or related skill boosts (eg. mana/intelligence or magery skills) for consuming brain foods like raw fish, flax seeds and olive oils. UO would then be doing a public service by reminding its players of the importance of eating healthy.

Nonsense. You'd have to consume 800-1000 calories a day in flax seed oil to gain any benefits that are equivalent to those "supposed" studies. At best, flax seeds are a decent fiber and calorie source with a (barely) modest amount of nutritional value. They also have useful physicochemical properties as thickening agents.

But as a nutritional supplement, they are not indicated or even practical for general health maintenance.

God help the masses that succumb to this sort of marketing.

  6. Similarly, God help the masses (who think they're smarter than the masses) who succumb to this sort of anti-marketing propaganda and disinformation. "Just because a lunatic says that he saw a UFO, proves conclusively that UFOs don't exist."

Be careful that you may be doing more harm than good, mentally turning people off from potential sources of health and benefit.

For those interested in eating healthy, you may google out the work of Aajonus Vonderplanitz, in regards to dietary guidelines for maximum health.
