    Prologue -

With the White Council, consisting of the member guilds CWS, GIL, KSS, and TSR, authorizing a faction stone, the WCB, to join the True Britannians in order to claim the throne and install a fair and just ruler, I decide it is best to fully understand the activities and census of this land for when we are successful in our goals. I therefore set out on a journey to observe certain key areas of this land to accomplish this task.

First stop is to visit the Shire Tavern, the Golden Unicorn to pick up a keg of ale from our barkeep Woody. I find that packing it in glacial snow keeps it the coldest. That stuff is cold!! I also pick up some snacks.....ribs....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ribs. Last I stop by the Shire library to pick up a book for the trip, as I feel it will be quite a lonely one.

I decide to head out to compassion gate, a popular spot due to the rat archers to the south. I set up my booth, crack open a few ales, and play the waiting game.

Its quiet out there. Just a lot of sitting and drinking on my part. I wonder what Woody put in my ale, as I could swear I saw a reflection of myself!

After quite a few ales, mother nature calls.

After a lot of waiting, and drinking, I complete my log book with no entries. Not a single soul passes through. Tis obvious that compassion gate was not as populated as I once thought.

I pack up all my things, not to leave any litter in this picturesque location between the mountains. Next time perhaps I'll check the word on the street as to the popular hunting grounds before starting out on my next journey.

More action packed stories coming in the future. Not the best storyteller, but hopefully in time they'll get better.

As always, if any other actors would like to take part of future episodes, please contact me.

    he heh...

It reminds me a lot of spoonman a long time ago. He would hang around the Ilsh gates or right outside the Auraglade and force you to buy silverware, spoons, plates, mugs, and if you refused he'd stab you with a fork.

Anyone remmeber the BNN audio reports that UO had put out right before the launch of UO:R? It was like a news program that spoke of the events going on at the time, like the invasion of Trinsic and all that gobbilygook. They would have commercials during the newscasts and one of them was about a butcher who was trying to sell his wares. "I Have ribs here! All kinds of ribs!" A customer walks up and asks "What kind of ribs these are." He says "These here are dragon ribs." The customer points to another pile of ribs and asks "What kind of ribs are these?" The butcher replies "Those are snake ribs." The customer becomes confused and asks the butcher "How can you tell the difference? They all look the same!" It was basically a joke about how the graphics for ribs in game look identical whether it was for a mongbat or a dragon. I always thought it was kind of funny. This part of the story just reminded me of that.

The spoon man! I didn't know he actually sold silverware, he'd always take me to a remote spot in the woods, promising to sell me silverware, only to attempt to kill me. I do remember him well....

Could any fiend really be so evil as to lure people to their doom with promises of fine flatware??

Did he yell SPOOOOOOOOON! by any chance as his warcry?

Such a creature deserves to be hit on the nose with the rolled-up newspaper of goodness! [IMG]
