Range changing on throwing weapons

    This is pretty weird. I crafted two soul glaives, one had a range of 10, the other a range of 11. Then I equipped them and the range dropped to 9. What happened here?

    Same goes for boomerangs. I had a crafted one with range 7, it went down to 6. But my stormcaller, had a range of 5 and went 1 up to 6.

    Can anybody tell me what's going on there? I'm rather confused.

    This is in the EC, if that matters.

    hmm, no idea.
    But maybe a display problem which gets adjusted when you equip it?

    Its range should be affected either by the wearer's strength or dexterity, and it'll change depending on that. (I think)

    Interesting. Anybody got the details on that?

    Also: is that mechanic still in place, where you have to be in the exakt right distance for maximum hit chance and damage?

    It was on a chart awhile back. But you need 150str to throw your throwing weapons at max range. So at 150 str in the case of a soul glaiver you get 11 tiles of range, at 10str your range is 7.

    Yes the screwed up mechanic is indeed still in place. You get punished if you are throwing too slow, and you get punished if you are throwing too far. Oh and you cannot throw faster than 1.75 sec per swing. :thumbup1:

    yes, sadly, throwing is STILL a bugged skill. I'd like a percentage of my SA purchase price refunded for all the things from SA that still don't work, aren't active, can't access and/or have no use for.
