Rangers of the Myst rangersofmyst.com Order - High Elf core, all races accepted (Please visit the website for a better idea of who and what the Rangers are. It has not yet been fully converted from WoW, but most of the principles are universal. When we select a server, it will posted there) Overview: Rangers of the Myst is light RP guild based on eight years of history. The guild has it's own rich lore, and we are relaxed enough not to take it too seriously. RP is encouraged, though entirely optional. We will be chosing a normal, rather than an RP server again for this reason. The core values of the Rangers have always set us so much apart from other guilds that our members never leave (at least not for long), and thus the guild eternally has a strong heart of honor and experience. Requirements: - At the start, we will allow all races to join if they meet our standards. Later on, non-elves will need a member referral. - Honor is absolutely required. Griefing, kill-stealing, ninja looting, etc. will be an instant boot. Such things may be common enough everywhere else, but not in the Rangers. - Decorum, diplomacy, presentation. While such an abstract idea could never be a solid rule, Rangers are expected to present themselves with grace and dignity. Swearing, short-talk, spitefulness, etc. present a negative image of self, and thus a negative image of the guild you are representing. We expect Rangers to take pride in being a Ranger, and never forget that they represent a truly unique and noble gathering of honorable people. History: Rangers of the Myst started as a freeform guild on AOL chat called the Elven Kingdom of Aeraea. We then moved to Ultima Online, and were among the first guilds on World of Warcraft. Rangers became the oldest cohesive guild on Shadowsong server, with a sterling reputation for honor and fairness. The guild permits no griefing, no ungallant acts against other players and, most importantly, NO drama. We believe that Warcraft has had it's day in the sun, and is now shriveling like an overripe melon. It has abandoned it's sense of community to cater to select groups, and even those so 'favored' are no longer having much fun because of it. We see WAR as the bright new future which seems free of such trappings of stagnation, and the Rangers are once again uprooting to tackle this brave new world in force!
