I read the posts in the Warriors forums on skill gain. I would like to know if there are any alternative ways to beating up on Skeletons and Lizardmen. I am at 60 skill. I am trying to bring the skill up fast. Thanks

Despise is a great area, starting at top floor & working your way down as your skill increases. Goes pretty fast in there. By the time your at OL's your in the 90's

    Ahh yes.
Despise works wonders to around 70.

Lizardmen. Usually Despise is empty of players and you can just run around with a low damage weapon wacking away at lizardmen.
From 70 to around 80 or 90 I did harpies and stone harpies which you can find in a little area north of the spirituality shrine in Ilshenar above the spawn area.
to GM I did ogre lords.

Don't forget the earth elementals in Ilshenar in the cave near the Sacrifice moongate. You'll get a paragon occasionally and should do okay with them as long as your healing skill and dex are at reasonably high levels.

The black solen infiltrators below Wind are also good for raising skills up to GM and gold and gem drops add up fast and if you're so inclined, you can also gather lots of zoogi and do the quest to get powder.

Any swampy area with spawn might also be interesting.

Crystal elementals in various locations in Malas are also good if you need to work on resisting spells and healing and they also drop a decent amount of gold and gems.

You might check out brigands as well, in some of the places where the spawn location is static. (Near Compassion gate in Ilshenar or to the northwest of Honor gate, perhaps?)

Shame first and second levels are good. The air elementals are good for working on resisting spells and if you're trying to fill up spellbooks, they seem to drop spell scrolls up through seventh circle spells.

The orc fort outside of Cove and the orc dungeon to the west of Yew might be fun. You can also find various groups of orcs in Tokuno in the desert north of Zento.

As skills get closer to GM levels, you could also try the yomotsu warriors and tsuki wolves near the Homare-Jima gate in Tokuno.

The hedge maze is also a good place for raising skills, once they get closer to the GM level. The Justice gate area in Ilshenar is also good.

Also check out the desert area in the Central Ilshenar Desert, in front of the gargoyle city of Ver Lor Reg (use the Honor moongate).

To find more possibilities, you might try the Advanced Search page for the Hunter's Guide on Stratics: http://uo.stratics.com/database/search.php?db_content=hunters . Put some values in the fields that interest you and see which monsters come up as possibilities.
