Fortunately, I trained my smith to 120 many years ago and thus have not done the make items - smelt - rinse and repeat cycle - for a long time. I see on NPC vendors that there are recycle bags available, and SA forum mentions that items will be able to be bulk unraveled similar to recycle bags now.

How doe the bag work? I used to have to click on each item to smelt it, do you just click on bag itself, and ingots appear? If so, can i smelt diff ore types at same time?

Also, do these bags work for carpenters and tailors as well?

with the recycle bag you can throw all your armour wether its leather or ore (of any type) put as much as you can hold in there and click on the bag one time it will give you a drop down menu that has choise to smelt or unravel or both i always use both and the leather and ore from all items in bag will be in your back pack hope this helps

The very first Essay has info on the bag, as do the Tailor & Smith FAQs, the new Tailor & Smith guides on the main UO Stratics page, etc.

It's one click, and everything of the chosen category (smith, tailor, or both) is recycled, that can be recycled - and in one second, compared to the UOA recycle bag taking a half-second per item.

Some of the leather & cloth items that can't be recycled normally (the reversed male armor pieces) are recycled by the bag, but no luck getting bone recycled yet.

Using the Salvage bag on SMITH items returns one additional ingot per smith item salvaged. This greatly reduces ingot use when training (though remember the base amount returned is based on your mining score, and you want to have 101.1 or greater mining for maximum return).

Currently Tinker, fletcher and Carpenter items can't be recycled.

Forge and anvil both (though I think a fire beetle can substitute for the forge)
