On the retribution shard, whenever I have cut up cloth items, they turn into one bandage. And when I smelt items, they also turn into one ingot. Is this a bug, or has imbuing changed how items are recycled?

I don't believe there has been a change but haven't tested.

smelting results are based on mining skill (low mining = low return of ingots)
cloth results are based on tailoring skill (low tailoring = low return of cloth)

    does that match your experience?
if it does seem different, is this with a human, elf or gargoyle character?

You may be right on the mining; I don't think I had that set on him at the time. But the cloth, no matter what it was, turns into one bandage. Not even one scrap of cloth, it goes straight into being a bandage. The character I was testing this on was a gargoyle.

    hmm ... I can't reproduce this.

I hoped on a gargoyle and popped over to New Haven

    got a recycling bag
    set tailoiring 1200
bought some shirts and some cloth
put the shirts in the recycling bag, recycled and got some cut cloth
put the cut cloth in the recycling bag, recycled and got an equal number of bandages

crafted a gargoyle cloth armor shirt out of some fresh-bought cloth and repeated with the same result

Ok, I am sorry. It seems that it was the mining issue with the smithed items, and the tailoring, well, I was using the cloth that a new character starts with, and it apparently goes right to bandages! Thank you very much for your help in figuring this out!
