After making my bushido paladin and a new armor for my ABC archer, I have somewhere an old sampire with an armor of the old times. So I think about making a new one.
The template is sword 120, tactics 115, anatomy 115, bushido 120, parrying 120, chivalry 95, necro 100, with means 785 skills so 65 on jewels. This is already a limit.
So, the 5 pieces of my plate armor are refined with 5 DCI and valorite enhanced.
I use mace&shied, slither, shroud, corgul, despicable fire, crimson and fire boots.
My resists are 92-103-71-76-72 so real all 70 with protection and vampiric embrace.
My stats are 115 str 110 dex 35 int, and i have 135 HP 166 stam 80 mana without potions.
I have 15 HCI and 25 DI on each of my jewels plus the skills and I use 50 DI one handed weapons (like radiant scimitars)
Bad things : my HCI is only 35, DCI 40 (but the 5 can be used for refinement) and no SSI (I avoid SSI on weapon to keep the max HML).
Do you think it's possible to better that ? (on paper I have better with a woodland armor but my character is human and the probability of all that I will have to trash with heartwood enhancing made me sick)

So you use 1 handed weapons... but no shield?

It's pretty simple to create a shield with 5SSI (which gives you always a .25s swing speed bump), and 25 DI,. So then you get a .25 faster swing, and can put... something othern than the 25 DI on a jewel. PLus it's pretty simple to use a macro to remove/wear a shield so you can chug potions. PLus you can then imbue 15DI DCI on it.

With only 166 stam, and no SSI, you're swinging a broadsword at ... 2s? With 15% DCI on the shield, you can take 2 pieces of the armor, and reforge them with 5HCI instead of 5 DCI. So now you're at 45/45 with both. Your swing time goes down to 1.75. Plus you get a free attr on a jewel.

Also, it seems you could eat a stats scroll - which is clearly better.

With 120 parry + 120 bush + 1 handed weapons + 0 shields, it seems like you're making the least of both skills. Seems like 60 points of parry are likely somewhat superfluous for your template.

Mmmm....I don't see at first the interest of a shield with bushido parry. If I choose a shield I will forget bushido.
With my radiant scimitar I am at full speed without SSI. The pb is if I'm cursed, I need potion or DF to keep it. Don't ask why, I like my one handed weapon with my sampire. Otherwise, sure, my equipment would have been a little different.
    I don't understand your stats scroll : 115+110+35 = 260
I will study what you say about parry.

I thought you were saying that the stats were with your armor on... since in the first part of the sentence you're apparently mentioning your naked stats, then in the second you're clearly mentioning your armored attributes.
How do you propose to fight bigger creatures with this template? If the slowest weapon you can use is a 2.5s, then do you use katana if you fight a single tough opponent?
Also, if you're not going for max possible damage, right now your damage bonus from tact and anat is (115/1.6 + 5) + (115/2 +5) = 71.875 + 62.5 = 134.375. If you move to 120 tact and 110 anat your damage bonus becomes: 140, which is likely enough to make you do 4 more damage per swing (when using a super slayer).

    1. Replace 2 pieces with 5 DCI by pieces with 5 HCI. So you will get 45 HCI and 30? DCI.

    2. Use 2H weapon. Reforge it to get 100 HML, then imbue SSI (to have 1.25s with 150 Stamina).

All the above advice is spot on.

For my swordsman I use the double axe for Champ spawns (whirlwind) and I use a bladed staff for the boss (armor ignore)

They do more damage, which means more leech. With high mana leech on a bladed staff and 55 LMC, you can pretty much chain AI doing 100-200 damage.

Thank you for your help. So I will rewrite the whole thing, hehe. To use 2H weapon at 1.25 with 150 stam, I need 35SSI. That mean 30 on the weapon and i could change the despicable quiver for a cloak of augmentation but I will loose fire protection. I don't think too much to shame jewels because there is now 2 monthes that I hunt them at shame level 1 with no chance. I will try another armor with the animated legs but the 100 fire will be harder. I'll have to sacrifice some skill on my jewels I think, perhaps stay at 100 anatomy.

Why do you need such a high Fire Resistance ? Is there any debuff which drops it minus 30% down to the 70% working CAP ?

For Bladed Staff you need 20 SSI. So reforge 100 HML and imbue 20 SSI.
On WW weapon you needn't much HML. For Double Axe you need 35 SSI. So reforge 35 SSI and imbue max HML.

To get SSI Shame jewels you need ~2000 luck suit and fight on level 2.

My Sampire uses a luck suit. It's good enough in most cases and against tough stuff I use my melee archer (you can use your bushido paladin).

According to UOGuide http://www.uoguide.com/Vampiric_Embrace Vampiric Embrace drops Fire Resistance by 25%, not 30%.

Since the CAP is 70%, what is the point of getting up to 100% when minus 25% results in 75% which the game does not compute because over the max CAP ?

Is that to have room for further debuffs like Curse and such ?

95 fire resistance is enough to counteract VE. Any extra would help with corpse skin, but probably not necessary with a sampire. I think the poster just uses an imprecise amount of fire resist in his post.

Or maybe he intends to reinforce his armor to raise the fire cap?

Possible, but I personally would not sacrifice DCI on a sampire.

Hi popps, Obsidian is right, these values were my first tests given with max imbuing possibilities, final ones will be more near the "just needed".
Tuan is also right, I will use the part left by my 30DCI to reinforce the armor. And I will not have the 55LMC recommended by Leira.
I suppose than Obsidian is also right saying that it's not the best for a sampire. A swamp will help a little.
Thanks to the help of Corwin for the weapons. The only thing I have to change to keep my suit changing 1 handed for 2 handed weapon is to decrease anatomy from 115 to 100.
I will try to better the armor next time but with another template with less skills points.
Btw Corwin how do you get 35SSI on the double axe ? I made some tests with shadow+, copper and copper+ and I was not successful. Bronze ?

Maybe it's my OCD, but for my generic sampire suits, I always make them corpse proof. I'd free up several slots if I could get around that.

IIRC I used Shadow+ and spent 2-3 hammers. It isn't a problem since shadow tools are cheap.

I often see that "+" sign after the runic hammer color (as for Shadow+....). What does it stand for ?

I think he means he used Shadow Runic Hammers and stronger runic hammers (i.e. Copper, Bronze, Gold). I suspect he means just Shadow and Copper since those are best at giving you a single mod at max intensity.

Actually I assumed it meant "+ (powerful)".

Why assume each a different thing ? I do not understand.....

Ain't it better to just tell what it means without room for misunderstandings and interpretations ?

Sorry Popps, + mean powerful. This was used in the header column of the tables of the reforging thread because powerful took up too much space. I took a bad habit. I will not do it again.

That's no problem, it is understandable that, especially in Tables, for lack of space often abbreviations are used BUT, usually then there is a "keys" explaination at the botton of the Table explaining what abbreviation means what.

I think in the given context ("I used shadow+ to reforge 35 SSI on an axe. I spent 2-3 cheap shadow hammers. ") it must be easy to understand "shadow+".
In the table it is even more easy. I just can't imagine another meaning for "+" in the table. And I gave you the link to the table several times so I assume that you are familiar with the table.
