Registration Issues? Read This!

    We've been investigating the issues that people have been reporting with the registration site, and we're having a heck of a time pinning them down. If you've had any problems with the Ultima registration page, please send me an email (jdalberg AT ea DOT com) with REGISTRATION in the subject line, or post them here!

    Just got the reminder email for one of my accounts, so clicked the link in it to https://www.ultima-registration.com/ - and get

    "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

    Most likely causes:
    You are not connected to the Internet.
    The website is encountering problems.
    There might be a typing error in the address. "

    Manually typed in www.uo.com, chose the account management option, takes me to
    https://account.ea.com/login/uo-login.jsp?locale=en_US&site=uo&skin=uo&parsid=8221100

    Works fine, can put in account details and add gametime without any problems.

    However, if I click the "Account Management" flag on the top of the page, which also tries to go to https://www.ultima-registration.com/,

    "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

    So, whichever route I try use to get to https://www.ultima-registration.com won't work for me!

    Edit - Tried something stupid, and got a rather surprising result... edited the url in the bar to "http://www.ultima-registration.com" (without the 's' for the secure site), hit return, and instantly got sent to the working address, https://account.ea.com/myacct/uo/uo-hub.jsp?skin=uo

    You don't own that domain.

    It's www.ultima-registration.com.

    Good grief. *sigh*

    It's no wonder you folks can't get it to work...

    I don't know I had a bunch of trouble a while back trying to upgrade one of my accounts with the added storage and 7th character.. I finally had to send an email to tech support cause calling and retrying 100 times didn't work..... but Every time I tried to put in the code to upgrade the account it would ask me to accept the terms but then whenever I hit accept..... Nothing would happen and I would get the old "page cannot be found" thing...... Someone in tech support finally upgraded my account for me but I never could get it to work... he told me somthing was wrong with my brouser... though I've never had a problem anywhere else but at EA/UO registration......

    19 times I 'lost' the 9th age (the one with the crystal and shadow stuff) account registration on one of my accounts. None of the others were affected, just this one that kept loosing it over and over. And after it lost it this last time, I just gave up.

    Hi Jeremy, i sent you 2 or 3 email about the "Account Access Transfer Program".

    I need to use it, but looks like i cant!!!!
    I have to do an international call, and i dont wanna do it,
    i call from europe!!!
    Also, if i do the call my english is not so good...

    So, is there a way you can fix it?
    what a new way to use the "Account Access Transfer Program"?

    Pls, do something for US that live not in US!
    This'd be an "international service", dont you think so?

    Do we REALLY need to scream and hollar at poor Jeremy? Honestly guys relax....17 meetings?? ya THINK They are looking into fixing the problem??? Why not be thankful that they HAD 17 meetings about the issue, are AWARE of it and are trying to FIX it????

    I personally have only had one issue with the registration page and that's it in my 5 years of being a subscriber.

    Why is this not posted over on the herald? Is that not what the herald is for? Since this is not an "official" fansite? Or why is not not posted on the patch screen before you try to log in?
     
  21. If someone needs to reactivate their account wouldn't they have to go to subscriptions to reactivate it? the account is already registered. [​IMG]

    Ah, sorry - wasn't getting at you, I was just wondering if I'd managed not to be clear in what I'd posted (not an uncommon event)! [​IMG]

    I have spoken with over 12 others who have this exact same prob-

    We CAN NOT REGISTER A New trial account.

    Registering the NEW EA account is no problem,

    The problem comes when you try to register to UO, and go through the PAYMENT /Credit card process.

    You paste the code, No problem, You go through the 2 TOC pages, no problems, you come to the Select option page, check £9.99 for 1 mth & 14 day free trial,

    You enter your details, hit go, and the page hangs for a few seconds, then a RED message 'This page is unavailable, please try again later'

    It is IMPOSSIBLE to register a Trial account due to this, AND the SYSTEM also DOES still make the $1 test transaction.

    But the account is NOT usable for UO, if you try again, same message, and now 2 $1 requests.

    BUT surely this is at the cost of possible NEW members to UO??

    yes, I did try with my Mothers card, from her house, no cookies, no nothing, infact Ive tried from several houses, using several cards, still the same result

    Come on EA- FIX your registering system please, I do actually need a KOSHER 5th account for a new shop./storage of museum artifacts

    I have emailed EA, and set MANY New tickets on the support thingy, all they say is please call this number to add your card, I call, it rings and rings, then cuts off. The once it was answered the voice didnt have a clue what I was talking about
