(Whispering Winds, Trammel) This past Saturday evening, brave and valiant warriors, mages, necromancers, and their ilk strode boldly into Whispering Winds, suburb of Skara Brae, and set about a task set upon them by the Councilor of Jhelom, the eccentric Lady Beauvina: Slay the abyssal horrors known as vorpal bunnies. Assisted by Jhames of Jhelom, Lady Silverbrook of Magincia and Nujel'm, High Justicar of Virtue Ra'Dian Fl'Gith, and Perimoosyn Jr., Councilor Beauvina began a 45-minute contest to see how many demonic eggs would be gathered by each participant. At the end, 1,000,000 gold would be awarded to the top collector, with second and third place each taking home 500,000 in gold. As the event progressed, Beauvina (or a rabbit that looked suspiciously like Beauvina) hopped throughout the various pens, occasionally leaving behind bank checks worth 100,000 in gold. Several faces braved the contained summoning of the vibrant blue bunnies, including Ethelinda Long, Nehalennia, Drumheller, Archie Deadeye, Sadden Paradies, Martyna Z'muir (famed librarian), TheeLadyDenArc, Akuma, Vlakorados (Sadden's pet), DenAlton, Archie Deadeye, among others. Each took turns pressing green thorns into the soils of the Skara Brae Arena Pits, and summoning forth the foul beasts. After 45-minutes of bunny smashing, there were bright blue corpses everywhere, and more holes in the ground than one might imagine possible in such a short time. Each person counted up their collected eggs, and in the end, three winners were found. In third place, with a total of eight eggs, was Sadden Paradise the Great. In third place, with a total of nine eggs, was the Great Ethelinda Long of the Squires of Redemption. Finally, the first place winner, with ten demonic vorpal bunny eggs collected, was the Dastardly Drumheller. As Jhames of Jhelom commented, "Them bunnies dem be scawwy," in a rather backward accent, Drumheller noted, "It was a rousing good time." Ethelinda politely refused her reward, donating it back to the Jhelom, stating, "It'll fund some nice school or something in Jhelom." It seemed, however, that all participants readily agreed that they had a great time with the bash, and thanked the Lady Beauvina for hosting. In parting, Lady Beauvina mentioned that funding for the event had come from an endowment of the arts sponsored by Lady Silverbrook and Justicar Fl'Gith, noting that more information about the endowment would be forthcoming. Justicar Fl'Gith stated, "We're hoping to help others do things like this."
