I need some suggestion what to do here. I am returning from some time off. I came back in a few years back and started a sampire, I never completed him and this is what i have:

    Stg 118
    Dex 125
    Int 12

    Anat 97.6
    Bush 115
    Chiv 60.1
    Heal 81.2
    Necro 50.7
    Parry 115
    Sword 100.9
    Tact 87

I have jewelry and so forth to get my necro up enough to cast vampire form but I believe when i played before I could remove those necro bonus items and wear others to better my stats and so forth. But now when i remove those items i lose the vampire form. So I believe I need to raise my necro a bit more (as of now I have my tactics set to lower). My Bush and parry are maxed. I would like to take them to 120 but need the gold to get the 120 power scrolls (this could change depending on what info i get from you all). I believe I originally was going to make this guy to try and solo some higher end monsters. But right now I am getting it handed to me. Some of it is just getting my macros set up and getting myself back into the swing of things. But again a lot has changed and this might not be the best set up now. I wanted to be able to pvm and be able to handle myself in a pvp situation but not necessarily be a pvper. I can take my sword right now to 115 again would like to get it to 120, but I see a lot about fencing taking over sword on similar templates. Also I know I need to get the proper armor I dont think im set up quite right with what armor I have. Another reason im getting worked. I use an ornate axe as my main weapon.

    PvM advice:

Drop either heal or parry (choice is yours, there are advantages to both. My opinion is drop parry) and raise the rest of your skills except chivalry as high as you can get them.

Get DCI for your suit (an imbuer would be handy at this point)

    PvP advice:
Sampire and PvP don't mix. Learn to run.

I suggest the standard template, works well for me but really depends on what ya want to fight:

wep skill 120 (i use mostly fencing w leafblade)
    bushido 120
    parry 120
    tac 100
    anat 100
    necro 99
    chiv 61

I have never personally tried the parry swap for healing, ss, or lj but if I did i would go 120 tac and 100 heal, ss, or lj

yes the sampire nerf was you have to actually wear equipment instead of casting and changing. no big...

so basically the only 120s you need are sword (weapon) and bush
the others will roughly be 100 (4 year old acct, 720 skill pt limit):

    weapon 120
    bush 120
    tac 100
    anat 100
    nec 100 (99 works fine)
    heal 100
    chiv 80

the anat and heal sections can be soulstoned as needed for bosses, possible changes include resist, SS, or parry

From reading some other threads it looks like fencing is preferred over swords. So would it be worth while to drop swords and take up fencing for more speed and then also drop parry.

fencing isnt valued over others for sampires - its the leafblade which is favored for feint, AI. and being 1 handed so you can chug.

what you can do is go swords, most your swords will have ssi because they are slower. then leave ssi off your leafblade because its faster so itll swing at cap and put ubws instead. best of both worlds ;)

fencing is great for pvp because you dont need a lot of sta to swing at cap and the specials are more pvp oriented (disarm, bleed, ai, etc).. leaves a big ol mana pool for specials

I would definitely go with SSI on a leafblade unless you can keep 180 stamina. It's a 2.75s weapon.

All three weapons skills have their uses for a sampire. To be honest, my least favorite of the three (swords, fencing, maces) for a sampire is fencing. But that is just because the only fencing whirlwind weapon, the kama, is relatively weak. I do a lot of spawns so whirlwind is a must for me. The counter to that is that the leafblade is great for single, hard-hitting foes.

I'm training up fencing just for a leafblade, ha.

Anyway, if you can, get 120 in all 3 and use soulstones.
