Screwed Up Shard Transfer

    I think I screwed up a shard transfer.
    I can't find the character on either shard.
    I am hoping that I just didn't wait long enough but the fact that I can log on to both shards makes it seem odd.
    Do I page a GM about this or call support or email or just go directly to begging Messana to help?

    Could you accidentally have clicked the wrong shard?

    I did look at all shards that I have shields for without any luck.

    Page a GM and have them check it out. I had a transfer problem, Well it was all my fault. Never xfer without saying all follow me to your Baggage Handlers lol.

    The GM was able to see my transfer and get me back the packies on the original shard who were wandering all over lol

    Never ever made that mistake again

    Page a GM. At first I thought you were serious. But after three separate pages that lasted over an hour each time before I gave up, I have decided that your advice is evil.
    I did receive an email after one page saying they were escalating and it will take time...but would just love a GM to come by and get specifics, or listen to my story, or make me feel like I just wasn't blown off.
    In the next page I did reference the ticket number given in the email, but I think I was just basically blown off yet again.
    I guess there is no customer complaint that will not go away if you ignore it enough.

    I was serious. Just letting you know what worked for me. You got a response that it was escalated. Sometimes the wait time very for a GM but I have always been pretty pleased when they show up or contact me

    This is not simple and will take time.
    As you pointed out you looked at EVERY shard, so this means your character is in limbo.
    We are not dealing with EA anymore in reguards to UO game internals and that goes for GM's too.
    Give a few days.
    Most times a good rule of thumb is wait 5 to 7 working days.
    Yes it seems a long time but your looking at both the sending shard and recieving shard data, your account data, and tracing it all down to the bug that caused your poof and getting you back.
    Dont be surprised if your account and character is backed up to the last known save of the shard.

    You might wanna email Mesanna at [email protected] and give her acc name, shard you xfer from and name of the toon.
    If you are running CC, it should be a file called translog.txt in your UO Game folder - check that, it shouold say what shard you x-fer to and the items. Attatch that to the email to Mesanna - and prepare for a few days to fix the issue.

    If you had a character in orbit, you should not be allowed to log into thoose 2 servers where the transfer is made from and to.

    They got it handled. Thanks all. The GM route must of worked though no GM replied to me in game. Guess I am just impatient. Thanks all for the responses.
