Things always tend to pop up when:

    1) UO does their little promotion and some banned players slip back in
    2) More people start playing again during the winter
    3) People need money for the holidays

At least those would be my guesses.

  4. There are a LOT of Vine Cords out there. I personally saw a bag of 125 Vine Cords. The people who had & were duping them should have been banned, but there were plenty distributed before that happened.

    There's like $90000 right there.

Anyway, WU is known due to their scams (their site even says 'Send money to your friends and family members' 'Tip: ONLY send money to people you know!').
PayPal at least offers some protection.

    Oh well!

3rd one is correct in my situation. You have to be pretty financially stable to justify owning an item worth $500+ in a virtual game, which I currently am not. Especially with the holidays coming up. That, and I'm not playing as much anymore due to things going on in my life that really don't need to be explained beyond that.

I am not looking to scam anyone. I would just like to be able to get the cash fast and not have to deal with the potential reverse transaction and stuff (which is why I'm trying to sell fast and not trying to push it to ridiculous $800+). I will gladly do the entire transaction over the phone as well as provide RL references -eBay feedback, etc if it makes you feel better. You will see the item in-game as well.

As far as the duping thing, It's not hard to claim seeing something in the game... Where you saw a bag of 125 vine cord sandals is beyond me, but I hope you paged a GM immediately. It's pretty funny that whenever a high end item is posted the peanut gallery has to post random stuff saying it is highly duped, probably a scam, etc. It is well known that most of super high end items have been duped, if you're browsing this forum you should be able to figure it out in about 2 minutes. You should also note that the duping has been stopped for a bit now, and a LOT of items were removed from the game. Just because some higher end item owners decided to try to sell one of the items around the same time doesn't mean it's common at all. Go look around on your shard, see how many you see. And regardless, the item is a rare that actually has utility. It's huge for pvp and nice for pve. Now that that's been said, can you find another thread to troll with your superior knowledge of rares? Thanks.

P, If you think Paypal offers any sort of reliable protection I suggest you use it a little more often.

That being said.. *sigh*.. Please ICQ or PM me if interested. Thanks.

I have over 6000 PayPal transfers (not all UO-related). And never had any significant issues.

Whereas WU is used by many internet scams. WU themselves have stated that WU is not a good way of payment to people you do not know.

I am not making any judgment on your reliability or intentions, I am just voicing my opinion here. I've seen people lose thousands of RL dollars online.

It made me chuckle that 750 is so much more reasonable than 800. Good luck none-the-less. Wouldn't WU fees to send 750 be murder? ouch.

I would have to agree here. I have no ill-will towards the seller, nor do I believe he is looking to scam anyone. It's just too easy to scam someone on WU for people to use it reliably.
