I havent read all the other threads, im just posting what Ive noticed.

    • Plain Dresses Dont show in world view
    • When fully Zoomed out, Items and players show a 18 tiles away, Why not the entire viewing distance?
    • When a Lantern is equipped, the Handle on it in the paperdoll expands to the entire light effect area, thus covering things such as Kilts, shrouds, etc...
    • Lacks Actions Such as Dancing and Jigging in original 3d Client
    • Boats appear to sink below the waterline
    • The starsystem in Malas has the star background..with water effects.
    • When switching INTO warmode, the combat target is lost
    • When killing a creature, the killing damage number is placed on the left side of screen
    • Ships raise over water when away from the shoreline, but now have a water grid on the deck
    • Tillerman does not verbally acknowledge orders
    • Waterfall sparkle effects pass through layers (Waterfall tile on a house shows through another house)
    • Cant pull up Paperdolls by clicking the name of a person
    • Contact item handles are bigger than the actual item
    • Fancy Shirts fail to show on female world model

this was all identified within 1 hr of playing.

I am not sure how to reply as I am not sure what you are posting about....

Some of the things you posted about are just obvious, so are you complaining about them?

Are you trying to point out bugs?

I know I sound sarcastic, but aside from being tired I really do not think I would be able to respond to this thread in a constructive way even if I was fully alert. =\

I will, however, point out one thing you posted about. When you zoom out the items that are more than 18 tiles away are not loaded, so they would not show...and when you move more than 18 tiles away they get unloaded. This would seem to be for performance, to me. If they have another reason for doing it I can not remember or do not know.

Im just posting bugs or features that seem way diffrent from the 2d Client, or just things that feel odd to a 2d player.

The 18 tile thing seems really odd, i get no performance issues (4Gb, Phenom x4 CPU, Personally Built) but, why let us see past 18 tiles if we cant use it?

We can't use it because it would be a massive advantage over the classic client (or SA users with low-spec machines), and most things have their own limit on range anyway. I guess we get to see the extra terrain because it's a good way to orient yourself in the world, particularly in unknown areas.

In terms of performance, increasing your view radius by a factor of 3 effectively multiplies your viewable area by 9. If the entire area's housing & mobiles were updated for that region, you'd get 9 times the lag. While some top-end machines would render it well, the server still has to send you 9 times the information. If you get plenty of people in the one region all zoomed out and running around, you'd run into problems.
