    As Siege is all Felucca and we don't have Item insurance, it do not make sense, that we can't have 2x resource/fame drop.

    We do replace our armor more often than on normal shards Felucca and our crafters use far to much time for resource shopping/hunting. Special the imbuing resources are always in demand.

    I believe we would see more vendors if the crafters had more time for crafting.
    I also believe it would bring more players to Siege as it would be cheaper to replace your items and easier to find a vendor selling it.

    With all respect.. But I think Its not really good idea.

    Because we are hardcore oldstyle server. We dont have insurance - thats why we like to play here, becouse its different from other servers.

    Again, because we are hardcore oldstyle server. Also Its fun to gather resources. Its gameplay too. I like mining more than crafting armour. Mining is like meditation for me :)

    We would see cheaper prices, but not more vendors. As gold is under inflation - cheaper resources could not help ecomony, they would drop it down.

    Players like Siege becouse its OLDSCHOOL playing style. Thats why they going to Siege from Europe, Atlantic and other funny-panty-pinky servers with insurance and smiling rabbits. Siege is special.

    People could come to Siege if devs would bring second house to SP or if we start to advert server with media to show Siege beauty - taking 1st places in servers PvP and PvE competitions, making video's, making events and promotions.

    When Siege was born, we had alot of players, most was running in cheap GM made armor, a few k for a suit. Then we got AoS and alot gave up the shard as PvP become very expensive. We need the players back. I'm not asking for Item Insurance, I would hate that but I would like items to be cheaper to replace.


    I like that too but I do also like to do other stuff, like hanging out on the road and do some PvP like in old Siege days.


    I'm speaking about player vendors, they do not effect the economy as it they do not add new gold to the game, they do remove a little as fee, that's all.


    The oldschool do not like Siege as it not all can affort to pay 200k for a PvP suit, they may lose 5 min later, in old days it was around 2-3k for a new suit

    A second house will not do it alove, there are other changes, that is needed and 2xresource/fame drop is one of them, letting "Young" UO players see Siege on the list is an other needed change.

    My character on Siege is a miner. I do not have a house. I do not want double resources, it would take away from the veteran atmosphere on this shard.

    Having double resources would not effect the price of items on vendors. The cost of imbued gear is related to the special ingredients used, not the leather/ingots/wood required to make it. Double resources on production shards only effects the material gathered (leather,ingots, wood, scales) and has no effect on special ingredients, ML gems, and essences. Any fighter/mage/tamer is well suited to gather leather and scales faster than any "crafter". The only two skills effected by this would be Lumberjacking and Mining. Double resources was added to entice players to go to Felucca, because of the "greater risk" versus reward idea. This is all Felucca, so there is nothing to offset that idea on Siege.

    Oh, I thought it did also effect gems and essences, we sure could need a better drop of imbuing resources

    It would seem appropriate to add a fixed number of them to the Abyss mini-champions. As of now, concerning imbuing ingredients, they are guarunteed to drop 1 ML gem. That's It.

    I voted yes. I know as a gatherer of resources it was self-serving. But, resource gathering is not the main reason for being in the dungeons... the monsters are.
    Extra resources would be just a bonus. What I gather does get used, but even so ... I am not using it up fast enough to match the supply.
    Perhaps, I will start a greater production of finished products; such as, lrc suits.
    I believe this would be a better result.

    Why don't we just add insurance and do away with RoT? Lets not forget to add resources to vendors and also allow them to buy stuff too!
    Siege is suppose to be a more difficult shard. Double Resources defeats the purpose.

    Yeah. After AoS a lot of people quited UO. But they quitted not only Siege. People quitted from all servers. Siege gathered unique community of people who like Richard Garriot ideas and dont like new AoS UO with fel-trammel/insurance/double resources/pinky-smiling-rabbits.

    I like PvP also. And there is no problems to do it now. If you wanna PvP - you could find it anytime - factions or just write in general chat (I think you know about it, but may be some new players read this topic too).

    I'm speaking about inflation. People gathers more and more gold from monsters, spawns & etc. Every day there are more and more gold. Veteran UO players (80% of Siege population I think) have a lot of gold atm. Siege have stable prices at resources and craftable armour. If resources would go cheaper (as they would aquired in double amount) - prices at player vendors would go down. People would pay less money for weapons-armours. And its bad for crafters. Nobody would go crafting with so low prices. At the moment crafting is quite good for doing money.

    200k? PvP suit could be bought for 50k. Of course if you wanna super-mega suit to kill 3 people alone - you have to buy expensive one. But if you PvPing in group you don't need actually super-good suit. Two players in 50k suits could kill 1 player in 500k suit. Three players with LRC FCR/FC 20k suits would kill one in 200k suit. Wanna cheap PvP - join a group. After a few fights you could loot parts from 500k's suits and gather imba-suit.

    Also there is new loot system - http://www.uoguide.com/Random_Magic_Item_Generation_System . You could go Shame and Wrong dungeons to aquire imba items. For free =)

    Ok. May be some young players would come. But a lot of other players (you could see results of the poll) would be dissapointed.

    Now with NEW guild its NOT hard to start at Siege. Every single person would help newbie player at start with money/LRC suit. Double resources is not an answer for raising population. Second house - yes. More public activity as tourney's, events and roleplaying - yes. If we would make Siege too easy - no reason to play here.

    Dubh loves ROT!!! ROT should be on all shards.

    Regarding the resources -
    1. I find it easy enough to get resources.
    2. It's cool not having everyone in uber gear.
    3. The unattended gather resources for me.
    4. The unattended weren't gathering enough gems so I got a 10th year ore/gem cart.

    A little much, if you ask me. We don't have production shards' prices on goods, but we don't have their vendor fees either. Over time you end up "working for free". But that's off topic.

    I see more resources as less sales here on Siege, the land of all Soulstones.

    Ok I back off. I really thought 2x resource spawn would include essences, gems and other imbuing Abyss resources. I do agree, we don't need 2x spawn of ingots, wood, wool and leather.
    I do also wish they would lover the fee on the Bazaar vendors and maybe PC vendors too, as Siege players do not use them as storage but for trading.
    Maybe we just need more player :p

    Even though I voted Yes, I really do not need those extra resources. That carrot on the string got too close!

    Perhaps there should be more discussion about item production and vendors.

    Where are all these extra resources people talk about? I don't see a single ingot or leather vendor that stays stocked...they are all empty.

    I'm not against it per say, but I don't think its needed. Really the only big boon I can see coming from such a change would be making bods easier to fill. Crafting items to imbue is not especially resource intensive, so I really don't see that factoring into the prices. I really doubt that lack of common resources like wood or ingots is really a barrier to entering into opening a vendor for anyone.

    On the other hand, I think that you would be likely to see no negative ramifications of a change like this other than its perceived damaging of the siege ethos but I personally don't think it would even be something anyone would notice a month after its inception.

    So... either way is fine.

    Last I had checked, Sprago's resource vendor is loaded down with leather. I know Rizu was running a leather vendor in New Mag and at a Vendor House, but it wasn't selling hardly ever. I think ingots are the only resource lacking, I don't see many vendors selling them since Logran disappeared.

    Yeah definitely with ingots, anything above Bronze no one can keep stock that I am aware of.

    Hopefully an influx of people who enjoy gathering resources will help since it appears most are in dissent of of 2x resources.

    P.S. Thanks for the heads up on Sprago's vendor, I'll have to check it out.
