[Arms Lore] Skill Gains

    Returned at Gm smith and acquired a scroll to 110 skill.

    Arms lore is now at 86.0.

    Can I gain to gm on daggers in a recycle bag?

    Guessing can, but just want to ask before invest a few hours in it.

  2. You only need one dagger as far as I know. It's not like before where you have to lore somehting new every time.

    The OP is talking about doing it by crafting, instead of repetitive loring.

    at 103 or 105 mining, using a salvage bag, a person can get EVERY ingot back used on daggers.

    At the comparative speed of loring an item and crafting an item, gains should be quicker, making 100 daggers, salvaging, returning ingots to bag, repeat.... As there are several times more skill checks than loring an item in the same time period.
     
  4. Thats interesting but I noticed better gains with loring than making stuff. Perhaps I needed to do it for a longer period of time to see the difference.

    Kallie, I noticed ZERO gains loring stuff when I tried that method - in fact, sometimes I didn't even get a GGS gain. After 2 hours with 0.1 gain, for the 4th day in a row, I gave that up.

    Theoretically, you can get about 1000 skill checks using Arms lore actively, in an hour, with a macro.

    in the same time you can get about 3000 passive checks crafting, and even in the 90s skill, I was seeing a lore gain about once every 150-200 items.
     
  6. So maybe I was lucky but I gained steadily with loring and even when I smithed items between filling bods, I never gained during the crafting process. Probably just a good run on the loring or a bad one with the smithing or something against the odds.

    I think it might also be the skill level where Arms lore is at. My crafting gains from it, when loring items wasn't working, was in the low-90s area where EVERYTHING gains slower than normal.
