Yes! You can push your cap beyond 720 since that only represents [real] skill with items and jewels.

    ...

Yes... items with +XX to a skill will raise your TOTAL skill points above the 720 max (which is way we DON'T need a higher skill cap), but will NOT exceed the individual skill cap for each skill.

So in theory, with the right +XX Skill items, you could have an effect total skill points of 800+ points, but if your cap in Archery is 120, you CANNOT go above 120 Archery.

  4. You can, but its not worth it in general, there's so much better armor out there to be held back by using the hunters headdress...

Please inform me of said armor pieces.

  6. Well there are so many different preferences and templates to get into what suits are out there, I'll let you use some imagination, but for a simple start, how about a helmet with some decent resists?

Weapon skill is simple to gain and there is no point in wasting a item property on it imho... But there might be some templates that need this helm, but it is in the minority or needy.

  7. Yes it does. The only limit to how many skills points you can have is how many +Skill items you can fit on your character. At one time my Bard/Tamer had 820 skill points due to some very nice and very skill heavy jewels, along with a +Skill talisman and Song Woven Mantle.

I would suggest you get 120 real skill in Archery though. An archer is much more effective with the Mace & Shield glasses. Besides that, once you set up a character dependant on +Skill items, you're pretty much tied to those items until you get rid of them and train up the real skill.

Ahh yes the mace and shield glasses. I forgot about those. I need to make an archer and rock those.
