Please feel free to post your small home designs and deco here for others to admire and use!
A shop, rather than a home, but maybe useful for the small storage ideas:
We have alway wanted the island at Justice falls, but could never seem to catch the people that had it, and we missed the Malas invasion [land rush] by a day, so missed the chance to get that one island there.
But a few years later the owner of the house on Malas Island was leaving Sonoma and the house was bought for 20 million. We like the house as it was and no changes were made after we got it.
roof top where we store our stuff as well as make bandaids grow orange leaf plants.
3rd floor part of the curse arty museum and office.
2nd floor main area for the curse arty museum, special thanks to Wolfee and others that helped to get them all during the Magincia Invasion/burning.
1st floor, where most of the vendors are set up as well as storage in the back room, small set of runes for events are also kept there on the stone table and medal box. Wood Box in front of 1st tables is a complete set of Trammel Treasure rune.
all the vendors here are set up to show all the items they may have on them. Had to add extra vendors to hold the rings and bracelets here. There are days I wish that person that does the Luna/Zento web site would visit us on Sonoma.
So if you on Sonoma, drop in if you can and look around! There gray color rune books are empty, only those colored or normal rune books have runes to travel in them. As we get more rune during the travel around Sonoma we put them in the gray books
Until I found an 18x18 space on my alt's shard I found this config worked well. The first level is hidden behind the waterfall and walls so it utilizes almost the entire plot inside
Where are the really small homes? All these houses are at least medium-sized. A 7x7 to 9x9 is what I call a small home. Try to build a interesting and well-decorated 8x8 house! It really is a challenge!
Mine is 9 x 10, but the 'living areas' are less if you discount the balcony. I believe it could be adapted to a smaller footprint.
Sorry. I don't have pics of the ones I have done. So sorry
One of my island houses:
7x8 I believe!
Risso your houses are very cute.
This is a house from Lake Austin in Skara Brae a few years ago. I have no idea who owned it, but I saved images of it because I liked it.
Risso, I'm about to buy an 8x12 beside my 18x18 to turn it into a 'guest house', would it be alright if I used some of your design?
I would be honoured Go right ahead!
I've posted this before, but since there is an actual thread devoted to little houses, I'll put it in here. I designed this for someone who had a tiny plot inside the Luna walls, and favored a classic house style. This is the basic layout on Test Center:
This is the actual house on the Luna lot...I adjusted it, turning the actual house, due to the neighboring houses obscuring it. The ladder was just too cute a part of the design to give up, but because this was built on Siege, there had to be security. This was handled by a hidden teleporter under the plant by the house sign, which leads inside the enclosed building. The front door of the house is set to owner access, as is the teleporter.
My friend, Chenonceau, made this in the Zento area a couple of years ago. It had some cute details in terms of deco inside, which you can't see in the pic...unfortunately this is the only surviving screenie, which I took because my other friend's head was poking through the floor below (gotta love UO graphic quirks )
This is my little Zento vendor house. Its on Atlantic at 37o 11'N, 31o 42'W. Just gave it a little tweak for the winter+holiday season
I found this little house on baja today, Thought it would be a good canidate for the small house thread.
House is in zento and owned by Bella
Any more designs guys? I am trying to fix my 7x7 lol
I love Risso's designs the most
I am trying to make my house like Risso's however mine is a 7x7 not 7x8 so I had to take away a piece of the porch, it looks good however, I cannot get the flowers to stay locked down on the second floor infront of the window.
The problem is I have to knock down a wall to place the flowers, i lock them down then rebuild the wall and the flowers end up in moving crate, anyone have any ideas?
raise the flowers up higher before putting the walls back...
Sounds good Vlad, but which wall should I tear down? the little walls? or the window wall?
Just returned to the game, lost my secondary accounts to uo and this one small luna house (my last work), I didn't get enough pictures of it before I left but in memory of it I'm posting it up. Hopefully I'm back to stay this time and start on another design ... so much to catch on
Here is my design. I don't know what to do with decor. I need help on the decor. If there is anyone in Sonoma that can take on the challenge, let me know.
Here's a nice house I saw when going to the Orc Dungeon on Europa.
I prefer the cabin-like homes myself
That CheesePlants house! I have toured his houses and they are pretty awesome!
I was interested in checking out this thread as I love cosy houses, I was surprised to see Reth posted my house
Here are some of my designs:

Hey CheesePlant, what gif animator did you use for this?
very nice designs cheeseplant.
I have to admit that I am in the process of shamelessly copying Skylark SP 's house in #13. Thank you.
I really enjoy seeing all these home designs again... There are some very, very creative people here in the universe of UO...
I put this one up last week. There are a few minor errors to the design, but I generally like it. Something about having a small courtyard in front of a house that really makes it feel like a French Farmstead to me.
Well done, Endal... I too love courtyards as part on an entry...
So who's the skinny, naked guy seeking access?
I live between Blackthorn Castle and the Brit Cemetery, so all of the Halloween spawn finds it way to my house. I'm set to public, so people generally like to draw them over here to take care of in safety. I should really put up some shops with how many visitors I seem to get. Heh.
Wow, that's a great idea... Use your imagination and you could make a mint!
My small residence on Atlantic.
Dr Hawk's Office is now open!
Name: High Physician of Britannia Office
Location: South side of Vesper Graveyard, alone road
Dr Hawk's Office
3 Bed Triage Room
Nice plot.....I own one just up the road I believe you are interested in, pm if so.
Ok, guys! I always loved the Jungle south of Trinsic - from my first years of UO til now. I left it, since I moved around in Sosaria to build different homes. On my homeshard I have a house in Luna and a castle near the vesper crossroads. But when I found a lovely free spot at the jungle pond on ATL, I could not resist and re-activated one account. So, here we are at the moment (it´s not ready, many deco items are missing). I wish I could really live there...
How did you put those images into the thread to be able to click for the enlarged image?
I think this plot is a 7x8. With the 60% storage increase, it has 1067 max secure storage, 533 max lockdowns, and 20 max vendor count.
I think I need to archive some of these before all images break...next on my project list LOL
I love seeing those small houses in UO. Here is what i had and what i did with my one in Zento:
But i didn't like big buildings around and i moved to more spacy place. Here is what i did there:
its located there
Located In Chesapeake Fel, Trinsic Swamps- Retribution & Recompense Guild Den
Come visit Retlaw's Pocket Pub, new location just north of Britain moongate on Atlantic. Tavern below open to the public, private residence above.
Great Desing Retlaw of Vesper, love the climatic look of that Pub!
Amazing, love the first floor!
Awesome job @Piotr very nice.
Just started playing again about a week ago, and wanted to contribute my small, work-in-progress house. C:
It's a 7x7, north of Zento on ATL, just off the road to the desert. Still need to deco it up quite a bit, but wanted to contribute the "bones" of my scribe temple thus far. Will update once I get it sussed out some more
This may mean I've become a true "Minimalist" at last.
Here is my goblin chef's 7x7 home on Pitmuck Island, Chesapeake:
