I have been playing a vamp samurai for years now. I've always been a one character type of player, so this eventually grew a little stale. I decided it was time for a change. My old template was: 120 swords/bush/parry 100 tacts/anat 70 chiv I put two years and hundreds of millions of gold into this characters suit. I did not die often at all, so I just used soulstones to get back into vamp form when needed. Here is the change I made: 120 swords/bush/parry/tactics/ninjitsu 75 chiv 45 med I changed up my suit to add a bit of casting, while losing nothing but some dex. I stayed above 150 stamina though for fast swings. So far, I have found that with mirror images I am all but invulnerable to non-magic creatures. I have been practicing this new setup in moonglow, and honestly the creature with the least risk is the demon beserker. All I need is to keep a couple mirror images up at a time, and I might be hit once in 30 of his swings. The other main reason I took up ninjitsu was for focus attack. This attack doubles all of the hit effects of your weapon for one swing. I know most of this forum is PvM only, but imagine being able to have a 100% chance to land a fireball on your opponent for only 6 mana. Also, for PvM, my current ornate axe has 96% stamina, 120% mana, 124% life, 30% ssi and 43% di when using weapon focus. This translates into: If i damage my opponent an average of 120hp per hit, I will leech: 120 stamina, 96% of my hits 0-58 mana, every hit 24-69 life, every hit (accounting for vamp form leech also) The only problem so far I have had is with heavy hitting magical casters. Only being able to heal with confidence, close wounds, and leeches hurts when 2 of those can be interupted easily. This is why I just found a new great ubws leafblade to feint the magic casters. This is an amazing template if you can pull off the equipment needed. Casting will be needed, primarly for healing reasons. You will still need max dci, lmc, resists, high mr, and hci if you are planning on using weapon focus. I encourage anyone to try this out. Any feedback on this template and or these ideas as a whole is welcome.
