    For those that were not around in 1999 for the Clean Up Britannia event they have been experiencing the Spring Clean Up of 2008. This event was created to free up storage space for plot owners but has gone even further. So far even one of the drops from Melissa is a reward ticket.

    Our turn in rewards this time around are rather great and varied appealing to most players in some way. Then there are those that complain no matter what and the Sorceror's Armor seems to be one of those items of discussion, a hot topic for some. Some say it is a waste of points, others say that a better or just as good set of armor can be put together at a lower cost. What do you think ?

    The 1999 turn in gave us Phoenix Armor, though maybe good at the time only gives one a fashion choice these days. 2008 brings us Scout's Armor and Knight's Armor in addition to Sorceror's.

    Surveys through the years have proven that the color blue is always in the top two as favorite. Sorceror's blue is showing up on more people each day in the realm.

    Sorceror's Armor is leather with;
    Stats Per Piece: Intelligence Bonus 1, Lower Reagent Cost 10%, 7% each resist
    Complete Set: Lower Reagent Cost 100%, Lower Mana Cost 5%, Mana Regeneration 2, Defense Chance Increase 10%, Intelligence Bonus 12, 70 resists in all resistances

    Over the weekend I have snapped a few players accenting their Sorceror's Armor in their own way trying to give it a personal touch. Is It fashionable ? What do you think ?

    I think it's ugly, and totally goes against the Dev's saying they were trying to reduce the amount of neon in the game a while back. The mods aren't the greatest, and for 600,000 points, you should be able to dye it (black, of course :p). Skirts and tunics are easily able to be covered up, but those leather sleeves sticking out, making you look like you have double arm casts, just don't work very well in my book. And why a wizards hat (yes I know there's a circlet)? We already have two wizards hat artifact quality items in game, way to keep things different.

    I too think it blows. The mods suck (c'mon, 2MR???????), the color is nasty, and it is 600,000k points. If you value points at 50gp/pt., that makes the suit the equivalent of 30 million. Give me a break. I can put together a superior suit for half or less of that. All the suits are a waste IMO, though if I do decide to grab a suit I will grab the scout's or knight's armor. And I would take one of those two not because they are any better, but they are likely to be less common, and thus have more value down the road.

    I do like the scouts armor, but my stealther is a mage, and I need the LRC. And the color of the scouts, I love it. I'm not really participating in the event, I turned in a few items to get a couple beehives, because they're just too adorable. Other than that it doesn't really appeal to me much. I've given away more points than I've used to friends who were struggling to get the items they wanted from Phase One, and Three. Knights Armor, Honor Armor, what's the difference again?? :/

    I have enough points to grab up one of those suits after all the other crap I have snagged, but the truth is, my mana regen is decent and not worth giving up for just a couple points to bring an area up to 70 resist. I suppose with the MR2 you could bump it to 5 with Clainin's book, but still a lot less than what I have now. Would be a harsh adjustment. Along with the facts of not being able to dye it and the cost is astronomical for the mods.

    It's good if you're really than generous and want to help out a new player or (when its up) xshard a suit over to start on another shard that way u dont lose anything too important. With clanins and crystaline u can get up up to 8 mr which is pretty decent but the lmcs still low so u need a talisman and 8 lmc brac or orny for it to be any good

  7. All the new suits suck. But for the sake of collecting junk, I guess the oppertunities their.

    I like the scouts armor and would like to buy a suit.
