I Think it would be a great idea for EA mythic to create a token you can purchase for x$ which allows you to use soulstones which arnt bound to your own accoutn.

this would mean good revenue for many people and would be greatly beneficialy for everyone in the UO commuinity imo.

parhaps the token would allow 5 soulstones to be bound to another account?

basically i want it so that i can moove skills from account to accoutn.. some i have trained some i dont u see :S kinda annoying

what they should do is make it so full soulstones that DO NOT currently have a skill on them can be used by any account, or if it does have a skill there should be an option to clear it... i have hundreds of full soulstones from idocs with skills on them that serve no purpose to me and this would make them useful, this way if it has a skill only the one account could use it, but if its empty anyone can, i think that would make sense and wouldn't lead to any scripting or anything

That's a good idea... maybe when you "reset" the stone, it logs the current user account as the new owner.

The downside would be if you had soulstones at a public house and didn't set security on them properly someone could come by and wipe them all out.

Agree Demonous. Recharging fragments would also be nice.

recharging fragments would render full soulstones useless.. no?

Recharging Fragments would make so much sense. They are just useless objects now. I've held on to mine just in case they decide to make a change.

EA will never to this as it would cost them money. How many of us have another account, with a soulstone on it, and a skill that you do not have on your main acct? Poising as example. I would love to transfer that skill, via soulstone to my main acct. But, instead, i have to reactivate my other account once in a while to Poision weapons, or use 100 lumberjacking, ect.

No, but I would like the ability to turn a soulstone back into a token, thus erasing the skills, but letting the soulstone be transferred.

I agree, so long as they are only tied into the same credit card and personal information on the credit card(s). I.E. John Doe, 1234 Atlantic Server, blah blah on both accounts and credit cards.

Only if there was no check on them. If soulstones were not able to have a security level set and only the owner of the home could use them while locked down that part would not be an issue.

If only the account that placed the skill on the stone could retrieve it then skills could not be bought or sold and they could not be moved from one account to another. However if anyone in possession of a stone tried to use it and it had a skill the only way to use it would be flush it as in no option to claim the skill just flush and reuse the stone.

This would make full soulstones valuable regardless of owner. They could be sold and resold if needed or moved to a different account you own to help shuffle skills some.

I cannot see a reason this should not be looked at as an option. It benefits players and keeps the boundaries EA was setting fourth from the start in tact.

Soul stones were one of the single worst things added to UO since AoS.

Personally I hope they all go up in flames.

You can say "EMPTY" soulstones 1000 times and you will still get responces from people saying it would let you move Skills from one account to another. ;)

But it will never happen regardless. Every soulstone they sell is $, and if you can swap them between accounts they sell fewer.

you see thats the master plan i would happily spend another $15 or what ever for a token or somthing i could use to make soulstones usable on other accoutns

  17. this idea has sprung up so many times in the past. I have posted this several times that it should be an instant gold sink.

A soulstone that is being unused (found by a player) should be taken to the appropriate NPC, and converted to a blank state (meaning the NPC wipes all skill from the soulstone, then converts it to a non-account bound soulstone).

In its non-account bound status, you would then reclick the NPC and click an option such as Activate Soulstone. For a fee of (500k?), you can convert the soulstone from non-bound status to your current account making it useable by you.

    EDIT:

Also, there should be an NPC that recharges soulstone fragments at a cost of 25k-50k per charge.

No, bad idea.......it's bad enough EA themselves sells advanced( are you lazy enough) character tokens.

Next we'd have yahoo's selling massive skills for any knucklehead to come and buy.

Never should they allow such an idea!!! All it would do is create a way for people to sell skills. Soulstones were a bad idea on top of the same list as UO:R,Pub-15/16, AOS, SE, neon colors and circus midgets.

How would it be a way for people to sell skills? Are you folks even reading before you respond? The soulstones would have to be emptied first if they contained a skill, then they could be freely used by any account....Personally I don't see what the big deal is..

They should just sell 100-120 skill slot codes for $25 a pop. Might aswell they are even selling Hooded Shroud of Shadows Codes I see. Do these people ever create new items? I wish I was around to see all the crazy posts on that one.
