I run a trace route using run command like you showed me. On the third hop the conn gets so bad it doesn't even ping no more. Just says requested time out. So I had the ISP company come out, they test it. First time they get major packet loss, then second time they get nothing. The ISP says it's my computer. That the trace route is stopped by security on thier servers. You have any idea what the problem could be? When you showed me how to trace my rtoute I had a ping of 33, now it won't even finsih the route. My speed in game is fine for two three mins then I hit a wall of lag like no other and freeze for thiry seconds or so.

The guy that showed to fix it only hand a handset and no clue about computers, because he didn't even know what I was doing with the trace route.

Hey cali. Sounds like your getting bad packet loss. It could be many things. If you have dsl it may just be getting a bad signal now in your area. If there have been a lot of people subscribing to ur isp provider the more people using it the less bandwidth you'll be getting. If its that you'll notice it only at certain times of the day more or less at night wehn people get home. If its just happening recently I know kids are on vacation right now so they could be using a lot of the signal.

If you have cable then its probably a wireing problem in ur area. If its cable call them up and say your haveing extreme packet loss and lag. Your download and upload speeds are really slow and ask if there is a problem in the area perhaps a telephone pole fell or got hit.

Now if your pinging realy bad to just uo. Then that's a whole other situation your isp provider could of changed their hops to the siege server. Hops are how many connections they have to make to reach siege. The more hops the more lag you get. You can ask them that tell them your computer connects to the server address siegeperilous.owo.com you were wondering if the amount of hops changed recently or if they switched lines. There usally pretty helpful over the phone if you talk to a computer tech.

What isp provider do you use? What state are you in ?

Cali, thats exactly what I have, im on DSL in a small town, and from 8-10pm i better just hang it up, i think everyone is dowloading porn at that time, cause i ping like 485 as an average with 50 percent packet loss, and sometimes during the day its completly unplayable, my isp has no clue either and told me, that at the router box that everyone in our town connects to, actually is 2 years behind the technology being used now, so it cant handle the flux of people we have useing, so they tell me to wait untill they upgrade and it will be good, im going on three years of the worst connection out there, its frustrating, keep on them if you live in a town with more isp options other then one company, you could move to a different isp provider, NNTC is the only isp provider in my area, so im stuck with there dumbass's, sounds like you have the same darn problem as me.........that might help ya in some way,

Yeah I use DSL. Just started to happen recently. When I try to test my ping to Siege it just goes to the second hop then it just says "requested time out" to all the hops. And I run a speed test, and the speed test comes back just fine.

Like the speed of the conn is good it just locks up every so often.
