    Lets say I have GM mage skill and I equip a mage wep that has a -20 mage skill. I know it drops my magery by -20, however does that mean my wep skill now 80 or is it back at 100?

    TY for any info

    A negative mage weapon only affects the magery skill. Your weapon skill will be the same equipped or unequipped.

    Not so quite;

    Your magery is effected by the minus part of a mage weapon. A mage weapon by it's nature causes your magery to become your weapon skill. This part is effected by the - 20.

    However if you have 100 in that weapon skill your magery will be lowered but you'll still have 100 in the weapon skill.
