Stat Loss really?

    Ok stat loss is a punishment for sucking at pvp, not rally, but from what i see its to limit you from dieing and insta ressing and rejoining the fight. IT DOES NOT WORK. with so many items in game, some of the templates are able to insta res and join back in. Please fix this.
    Maybe lower stat timer to 10 min, and make it a 60-70% skill loss, id like to see you jewel up to fighting ability with that.
    If your thinking about balance then make it happen.

    I disagree, stat loss is fine as it is.

    If you died to someone in stat loss maybe you should re-think your PvP tactics and/or template.

    Yes I agree, I dont think it should be changed. I think most people cant just jump right back in to the battle. Even if they do, they most likely just die again anyway. :) Thats the case with me anyway..

    The stat loss is just fine. There isn't any skills that work at 80 as good as they do at 120. No offense but you must not be very good if you are having trouble with people in stat loss. You're just off on this dude.. way off. Stat loss is what keeps the faction pvpers from getting burnt out... This is not an issue in any way shape or form.

    It's been a while since I stopped by. The topic's look the same as they did a year ago and they years before that.

    Stat loss:

    Stat loss serves one very important function; or it use too. I have no clue how factions has been bastardized since I last logged in.

    Stat loss prevents enemy players from constantly assaulting a base until they successfully take the sigils. Stat loss provides a finality to a fight. It allows the victor to regroup and the loser to lick their wounds and consider doing things differently next time.

    Stat loss is the foundation to factions. Or was.. Touch that with peril.

    Whether or not I am any good is not the relevent point. Some templates can place jewelry and items on and be back to 110 in their main skills Magery Necro and Eval. ith the new faction items they sacrifice very little in resist. for swap out items. Archers can do the same with tactics archery, most other skills are support skills on those templates. The ability to Still be able to do a special while in stat. So an archer can still mortal or concussion spam you to death. Stat does not affect their ability to fight in a group. they still have all their dex mana and strength.
    My archer is back in the fight in a matter of 10 seconds after ressing. Im still killing people. The problem is I dont like to play that toon exclusively. Now how many spellweavers can come back if thats a main weapon in their arsenal? tamers? they are harder to bring back due to the lack of jewels and items to get them to full fight stats.If you look at all the items needed to get a mage back to a fight, its easy. archer aboutt he same both are distance fighters so they dont need their support skills healing anat resist etc. to be effective. and when were holding a base with 6 people against 20 dropping them like flies and still having to fight the stat loss folks doing the same damage in stat, yes its a problem.

    Oh where to start, I guess at the beginning.

    By putting the items on you are probably referring to jewelry, which sacrifices the casting, spell damage, lrc, or all three.

    Again, they would need to use jewelry which in turn they would sacrifice HCI, DCI, and DMG Inc. Not to mention they probably aren't going to get back to 120 anyways and will still be easy to kill.

    I think they have bigger problems than stat loss if that's their main offensive weapon.



    Boo hoo for the tamers. This is one of my favorite features of stat loss.


    I think the problem is that you aren't very good at PvP, and to make up for your lack of skill you are asking for changes to be made to the game.

    I've never understood this. Statloss should be a hard cap. Nothing should go above the statlossd numbers. FOR ANY template.

    As it is right now statloss isnt much of a punishment for thieves or tamers. As for not alot of stuff for tamers u need to stfu. Talisman, mark of travesty, plus jewels u can use to get u 30+ in each.

    What im wondering is i thought they fixed the blowing yourself up to evade statloss. Yet back on GL people are doing it again.

    Hehe, makes a huge difference for thieves. Just because they can steal a sig in stat doesn't mean they can survive against a base full of people hunting them.
