Stealing from blues

So I have been training all my skills like a madman on my newly started thief and is soon ready to join the Thieves Guild, but now I saw this on uo.com:

"When stealing from innocents, thieves will only be able to steal gold and gems in the Dungeon/Lost Lands areas of Felucca. Thieves will continue to be able to use the full range of their thieving abilities against consensual-pvp opponents (guild wars, order/chaos, factions)."

So as far as I can understand I can't go into a champ spawn and steal SoT's and power scrolls, correct? I sure hope that's not the case, as it would be very tiresome to create a new char on Siege right after I'm ready to have fun.

If you're in fel you're good.
If you're in tram and succeed you need to start talkin.

You can stealing anything in fel anywhere as long as it isn't insured, blessed, or it isn't a newbie item.

Of course there are weight limitations though.

Thank you for the replies, just got a bit confused with the official description of the skill, they should really rewrite that.

Yeah that description seems to be terribly inaccurate.

Tag, if you have the time, get on any char on Atlantic and find a member of P0O. See if they can get you to our guild house (actually, I wouldn't be surprised if you found a random person at the Fel Yew gate who could take you to my house).

Have someone give you access, and go read the books in the training room. Those books will explain everything you could possibly need to know as a new, or even experienced, thief.

I would access you myself, but I don't have a working computer right now. Whether you are from Atlantic or not, you need to make it a point to get there and read those books, they'll help you out a ton.

I think that was from the short period, prior to AoS, when everything but your gold and gems was "blessed" when in a Fel dungeon or Lost Lands.

Champ spawns were just introduced, and they did that to encourage Trammies to give them a whirl.

Then AoS and insurance came out, so they removed that system.

Aight, great, thanks everyone. I will definitley check that out too Shinobi, thanks.

Now for question No. 2: What's up with the Thieves' guild? I've read in several places that it's 48 in-game hours until you can join, but the thief GM tells my 1 week. Not updated NPC macros or did they change this?

Bah, never-mind my input on the issue with how long you wait. Just listen to Shinobi :p

Read my stickied thread "Thief NPC Guild/Disguise Kit Info". Unless something was recently changed, which I'm 90% sure it wasn't, then it should just be 48 in-game hours on your thief char and at least 60 real Stealing.

Yeah I did, but got a feeling my char was older than 48 hours, guess my time perspective is as horrible as ever. :) I'll just keep him online till tomorrow, and if I can't join by then, they must have changed it.

Alright, joined the Thieves Guild now, it's apparently changed to one week non in-game time. Already tired of it though, the passive reveal is baaaaaaaad, jesus christ.

Siege doesn't have that. There are pros and cons, tho, like everything in this game. If you come to Siege, there won't be any passive reveal, but there will be other hazards.

Already got a thief in the making on Siege aswell, I guess I'll go there, because this just seems unplayable.
