Even at 100 Hiding and 120 Stealthing there still is a chance to be revealed by some MoBs.

Since Ninjitsu animal form offers a 20% stealth bonus while in Rabbit or Rat Animal forms, my question is, does the bonus work when applied at 100 Hiding and 120 stealthing thus making one effectively immune to being revealed by MoBs ?

One reason why it might be nerfed is for players to make it hard to skip content (bypass the monsters to get to the goodies)

    Excuse me ?

My understanding was that stealthing was created precisely to bypass monsters, I mean, that is the ONLY use for an ability which takes up 220 points when done with some efficacy.....

It is not possible to loot while hidden or to open chests or do anything else.

The ONLY thing that can be done is go from spot A to spot B. Period.

This can ALSO be done using a spellweaving skill, the honor virtue and the immunity which murderers can benefit from.

And, since monsters do not target right away, one can also go to spot B from spot A just running fast and chances are monsters will not target the runner.

My point is, that stealthing is not at all in need of any nerfing because it does not do much at all in the first place.......

It is occasionally used in pvp, I hear tell.

Most likely monsters and players share the same code for unhiding.
So it might be an unintended nerf for PvE then.

And it is nothing new that skills are made useless.
*eyes itemid and taste id/ forensics/.........* ufff
    :p

The reveal rate in Fel is ridiculously high if you are moving and within ~4 tiles of someone, even at 100 hiding and 120 stealth. This is realistic however. If you stand still, they will have to actively use detect hidden.

Few mobs reveal and most often it is from an active AoE that you get revealed (Aura of cold/heat and such) Annoying, but realistic.

Elven passive reveal is still way too high, and tracking has a rather high rate of detection vs 220 point stealthers.

Its not perfectly balanced, but then is anything?

    Why not ?

I mean, does a mage perhaps fizzle spells at 120 magery ??

Besides, it already can be done 100% in immunity and that is using the spellweaving spell or the honor virtue or the murderers' special ability.

I do not see it a big deal that players investing 220 points into hiding and stealthing may just walk (not do anything else...) from spot A to spot B like it CAN be done already in other ways.

I did not say immunity from being revealed by fellow players, I just mentioned MoBs....

To reply to your original question, rat form just increase stealth by 20 points, but not beyond the cap, so the answer is "no".

Your right its not perfectly balance. Stealthing and ninja in general are way overpowered.

Stealthing and ninja mean 340 points spent on just an ability, not being seen....

Which does not even grants 100% effectiveness at maxed out skills (one can be revealed too often as of now) !!

And you say it is overpowered ??

If at all, it is UNDER powered, IMHO........

Fellow players not using this ability can spend those 340 points on offensive or defensive abilities, stealthers, instead, only have the ability to ambush and a LITTLE offensive capability. I mean, what else is an assassin role if not that of jumping out of the dark, all of a sudden and stab the target ?

And this should be nerfed to make the role totally useless ??

Definately, I do not see it as overpowered at all. It fits the role of an assassin jumping out of nowhere and stabbing the target.

Ok so smoke bomb/animal form away isnt OP. If your worth a **** on a ninja you wont be killed unless its at least 3v1. Deathstrike/ai spam is very offensive. Focus attack doubles the mods on your weapon pretty much. Ya ninja is pretty ****ing strong. Not to mention you dont have to go 120 stealth 100 hiding its something like 80/70 or 100/70 or whatever. Ninja offers some offense your right but not much, but the defense if gives you is just stupid.

I understand taking x-amt of damage from an aura, equating to a disruption, I agree w/ that.
What does Slasher use? All passive?

  15. stealth is fine with mobs. you just can't really move and stealth right next to mobs. stay a number of tiles away, and you are perfectly safe. think of some mobs having infra-vision, or can lock on to your scent. or hell, just have better eyesight. stealth allows you to travel safely as long as you use your head and keep a bit of distance.

got ninjitsu too? then it's even easier, as you can shadow jump to safety among mobs and rarely get revealed.

if you want to move among the monsters with impunity however, build up your honor and embrace it, or get spellweaving and become ethereal.
