    Hello,

I'm considering purchasing a Mythic Character Token and would like to create a stealth melee template.

I've done a lot of searching on the forums to get an idea of what the template could be but would like more opinions.

It would be for PVM and maybe a little bit of PVP. I realize it may not be the best template and I may not be able to solo the really difficult monsters but as long as it is decent and can do some things I'm happy.

What do you suggest the template should be?
    What should int/str/dex be?
What skills should I boost first using the Mythic Character Token and which skills are easier to manually train up from the beginning?

    Thank you,

Why a stealth template for PVM? You lose a lot of useful PVM skills to hiding/stealth/ninjitsu.
STR for PVM dex should be as high as you can get it, more STR the higher your dmg and str affects HP which more HP for PVM is good.
Dex should be 140's if you have healing. If you don't it should be high enough so your total Stamina allows you to swing your weapon of choice at 1.25
I only use a Mythic token for taming but if you are set on it then skills that take a little longer to raise are like Bushido, hiding, stealth, ninjitsu (assuming you really do go the stealth template). Easy skills are your tactics/melee/anatomy/chivalry. Healing is kind of in the middle of how quickly it raises.

Honestly if you don't want to go the typical Sampire route for a PVM melee template bushido paladins with healing are pretty cool.

    Thank you for the reply.

I just really like the whole stealth idea, even if it means my template lacks in other areas.

You can't really fight invisible though, and you really can't take a monster by surprise. I would think the most functional stealth PvM template would be a stealth tamer. Pets can fight while you stealth. But melee.. I just don't see it as a functioning template.

I suppose you could role play a ranger... Able to move about in the wilderness unseen by all...

Maybe a stealth archer for that role?

In leather armor template would be something like:

    115 archery (120 with quiver)
    120 tactics
    100 anatomy
    100 healing
    100 hiding
95 stealth (100 with +5 stealth robe if you wish)
    90 chivalry

Thank you for the reply. This is pretty much spot on. Although I don't roleplay in the traditional sense, I guess I kind of do in my mind as I play which is why I like the idea of stealth. I could always swap out Archery on the fly for a melee skill for those times I'd like to try melee.

I would imagine I would equally max out str and dex leaving int as low as possible?

Although popping out stealth and attacking does not provide any real advantage against a monster, would I be able to stealth by monsters or will they always detect me?

What types of things could I do or solo with a stealth archer?

    Thank you,

Balancing stats is a tricky thing... ideally you want enough stamina to get max speed on your heals and fire your weapon as fast as is reasonable. A lot there depends on the rest of your suit and your weapon speed. I would shoot for swing speed between 1.5 and 1.75 on slow weapons and 1.25 for faster weapons. Generally I would advise for 100 str and 125 hit points. After those two are met, get as much mana as possible. A great deal of your damage output will come from using special moves and casting chivalry spells... More mana = more damage.

Personally for PvM I think a solo archer will be limited for the most part to low to mid level encounters... But can make an awesome addition to a hunting party, especially if there is a tank involved.

PvP wise, a stealth archer is typically nice for dismounting, but would normally have ninja on the template.

You will be able to stealth by most critters in most places. Occasionally a monster will reveal you. Some locations, like blackthorns, have special coding that will more or less reveal you all the time.

if you used this template you want stealth as a major part of your needed 300 combat skill points for max lower mana cost bonus.

    my suggestion would be:
    120 weapon
    80 stealth
100 ninjitsu, parry, bushido, or poison (that would get you to the needed 300 combat skills)

other skills you can fill in with combat skills

in my opinion, unless you are choosing poison or ninjitsu, its a very poor choice for a mythic token as stealth is one of the easiest skills in the game to train.

    http://www.uocraft.com/combat-tools/ssi-calculator/

individual stats depend on weapon speed. i linked the calculator i use. For a fast weapon like kryss you only need low stamina. for a slow weapon like composition bow you need relatively high stamina.

common setups for casual archers swing at 1.5 speed
    150 stam 60ssi
    180 stam 45ssi

for max speed you need 210 stamina 55ssi but this is a bit hard to obtain.

a good archer setup in my opinion runs

    140hp (or more)
150 or 180 basic stam depending on swing speed
    100 mana

you will need about 12 - 18 mana regen on an archery template because of low mana leech. for pvm melee you dont really need much mana regen because of the higher available leech on weapons.

I would have thought the same thing except I witnessed one in shame months ago and it was pretty neat to watch. This person utilized the 20 hit point and hit chance increase given from wolf form and spammed mirror image to reduce his/her damage. It was a stealth melee template and I was impressed.
