    Hi just wanted to see if anyone else is having issues with there subs.

    One of my accounts subscription has just ended because apparently my card was declined. I have plenty of funds in my account and have called my bank and there are no markers on the card.

    I've gone back into the account settings to reset up my subs on the card and now get this message.

    Error
    There was an error processing your request

    Return to the homepage.

    I have emailed support but as you would expect heard nothing back

    I had a similar problem a few months back, I put my details in again a few days latter and it accepted them. Funny thing was nothing had changed, same card same details, bank account has thousands in it, so no shortage of cash. Quirky system.

    I get the error when the debit card I use has low funds and there isn't enough to pay the charge. Charging up the debit card fixes the error for me.

    I had the same problem not long ago. When informed that my card had been declined (on one account only), I contacted my bank. They informed me that they had no record of any charge being declined on my card. So I re-subbed and it took.

    I don't know for certain, but I think the problem might be the fact there is still info in account management on a previous card that I cancelled a long time ago when I decided to get rid of all but one credit card. I suspect the old card may have been charged by accident. I don't know for sure... I hate account management and avoid going near it unless absolutely necessary! lol

    I would expect this if the account was empty, this is not the case for me unfortunately.

    I have just put another card on the account resubmitted which it's now accepted, I then put the old card back on submitted again without any issues.

    As Winker mentioned earlier this account system is quirky as hell.

    Usually your payment is declined by your CC company because EA frequently bills you from the Netherlands..... if your CC is like mine they halt it ..... shut down your CC purchases and make you call them to see if it's a fraudulent charge because they won't allow any out of the USA charges....

    In order to resubscribe your account and/or update your billing information, you will need to login to the account management center at the following link:

    http://accounts.eamythic.com

    Once there, use the email address linked to your EA account and your password for account management (please note: this is a different password from your game client!), and then locate the account in the list that you wish to update. Click the "Subscribe" button and you will be able to update your billing information once you have chosen your renewal options.

    After playing this game for close to 16 years I know how to resubscribe! They clearly didn't read and understand my clearly written email telling them my issues.

    And to make things even more puzzling I can't purchase any items from the origin store!?

    I guess they don't want my money!

    This is now a huge problem, two more of my accounts have now been stopped due to an apparent decline card. There is nothing wrong with my card, I've even added another card to the account and tried to use that but that fails as well.

    I've had one useless reply from support, no wonder this game is loosing players if they can't even get past the stupid account management or poor game support network.

    Contact Mesanna I guess that could be you last resort. Although its not her job to be doing the accounts, It about the only sure fire way I know of getting hold of a real person who has anything to do with the game. Your last response was just a canned response, I dont even think anyone even looked at you last email.

    I had my card "Declined" but I was billed. Went round and round with them about it, even showing them the processed CC statement. They told me "it was declined." Then was told to talk to my card company - gave them the exchange.

    My account got banned for then reversing the charges. After a month I got it unbanned by showing the exxchange to Origin, but it's crazy.

    My only suggestion is to buy GameTime via the Origin store then apply it to your account.

    A good idea in principle but origin store will not take any card details I try and paypal goes around in a loop.

    I'm sure there is some sort of fraudulent marker on my mythic/origin account. Until I get a sensible response from support I'll be none the wiser.

    I have received the same mail today.
    One account work the other one is now closed.
    Both accounts are on same cc.

    I get the same error message you get when I try to resubscribe.
    They really hate us Europa players.

    I feel your pain , this is a joke to be honest.

    I managed to re-subscribe to one of my accounts last week using a different card which now doesn't work on the two that expired yesterday.

    Really glad I decided to come back to UO, the pain is soooo worth it!

    Had the email too. Same problem with debit card. Had plenty of funds but kept declining.
    Finally I gave up and Tia found me a link to buy a code for 1 or 3 months. So grabbed a 1 month code. Thank goodness for Paypal!
    Guess after I double check with my bank to make sure no weird charges came from EA/Mythic I'll just go ahead and get a 3 month code. Write a note to myself to payup every so often.

    I did what Petra quoted:

    In some cases attempts to update existing credit card information has failed. I this case select ‘delete’ then ‘add new card’ from the previous screen and re-enter your card information.

    But I did the above and waited a few days, Worked for me

    I deleted and added card but that didnt work.
    My account is closed, cant log in To game.
    Seems strange that it Will work in a few days

    I've had another email from support after my 5 chasing emails asking for a load of information about my account.

    So we will see how this goes if not there will be some great idocs happening in a few weeks!

    I had a run in with a company who I had run up quite a large bill with and the person i was dealing with insisted I tell them my secret word or they would be unable to deal with me. I told them I had never set up a secret word, but they insisted i had one. So I told them i would withhold payment until such times as they agreed to talk to me. 3 months after not being payed and numerous debt letters being sent, they called me and wanted to talk about my outstanding account. I asked them for their secret word or I could not talk to them. They insisted they had not set one up, so I insisted I could not talk to them unless they could vertifiy they were who they said they were by telling me their secret word. A few years on, my account has yet to be settled...

    Wow I must be paranoid, no account I have that is tied to plastic or checking has more than a couple hundred dollars in it at any given time. Guess I've had enough cards and checks skimmed, stolen, data theft, etc that I assume any account tied to plastic or checking will be drained. If I have to shell out more than my acceptable loss slush fund I transfer the amount needed making sure I have some fluff for other minor transactions. For most online purchases I use prepaid cards, generally if I'm dealing in person I deal in cash.

    Now that I've preached my safe paranoid practices for plastic and checking... I haven't had any issues with EA pulling money out of the account I use for UO payments.

    My accounts are linked to one of my business accounts, which is protected by fraud insurance. If anything got stolen from this account I can cover it from either my personal account or my investment account until such time as the fraud insurance pays out. So no worries ;)

    I have now tried to buy codes at uo store.
    Nope that didnt work either.

    I have mailed Mesanna.No answer.
    In a few days I cant log into my second account either.

    I'm a week down the line so don't hold you breath.

    Support are yet to acknowledge my issues still trying to prove the accounts are mine. I've had radio silence for 2 days now since supplying my secret word, I've sent 3 emails asking for update with no response.

    Anyone know what time zone the support team is based?

    UO/EA billing system is the pits... let's face it. I have thought a lot of giving up trying to pay for accounts.. EA is at fault and if they don't want my money I am quite sure Blizzard will except it...

    I was having issues before buying gametime codes and having my card accepted. I got onto Jeff Skalski (Senior Producer at Mythic) and asked if there was any other websites they can recommend for UO codes and gametime. He pointed me to: http://www.paybycash.com/uo/codelist.php

    They might be a bit more expensive than buying direct from Origin store but it let me get back in game with a lot less hassle.

    I do agree that its pretty tragic that its easier to buy codes etc from 3rd parties rather than the official channels.

    I have no idea The Scandinavian, all they told me is the issue has been addressed. I would give it a try and see.

    The likelihood is it was just my account and they refuse to accept they have a billing system written as Winker put 'by a A level student as a project'

    I got the same problem today. I can't believe how ****ty EA is... it's like its not enough they ran one of the most legendary pc games into the ground, but they actively try to do crap to the customer to tick em off. Id be playing on a free shard now if i wasnt playing from asia and have bad lag on the free shard.

    anyways. after reading this thread i was able to fix the problem. I didnt even bother emailing them cause it seems like they will just send you 15 auto replies before they try to help you. I instead bought game time and will do so every month instead.

    I bought my game time card from orgin store though, using PAYPAL. it was cheaper then the site paybycash you guys used. How come you guys didn't do that instead?

    Funny thing is, the game time card is actually cheaper then a normal subscription. They charge me in Hong kong dollars, then paypal converts it. And it came out to 12.04USD, where as normal subscription is around 14USD including american tax. HAH! TAKE THAT EA, took a dollar from you!
