Suggestion: Mace Damage Bonus from Blacksmithing

    Similar to the manner in which lumberjacking modifies axe damage.

    And, for balance, a damage bonus for Fencing from Tailoring

    Because a Kryss and a Needle have alot in common!

    How about this aiming at SA?

    When Crafter with macing skill makes macing weapon,
    its quality is better than Crafter with no macing makes.
    Macing can be replaced with swords, fencing and archery.

    Did they bring back extra damage from Lumberjacking? I seem to remember that happening, but the bonus was really small, right?

    That's a pretty cool idea... but soulstones kinda make it too easy to switch around, so in the end it would probably just be a hassle to crafters.

    I don't see any balance issues with adding a dmg bonus to crafting skills for various weapon skills the way that lumberjacking does for axe dmg.

    If it's an easy change to make, I think it would be a good idea for the devs to draw those ties, because it creates a more diverse interconnectivity to skills. I don't think I'd take advantage of these dmg bonuses on my chars, though.

    I could see the following skill ties
    blacksmithing to maces
    tailoring to fencing
    bowcraft to archery
    lumberjacking to axes

    I'd say hammer damage, not mace damage.

    I'm not seeing tailoring to fencing...

    I can see...
    blacksmithing to hammers
    lumberjacking to axes
    crafting skill to weapons crafted with that skill (less of a bonus)
    arms lore to all weapons (less of a bonus)

    Yes.
    It is clear that the abuse of Soul Stone becomes a problem.
    I have already thought that it is a problem.

    I think it is interesting, if the disadvantage comes to accompany
    the use of Soul Stone. Excluding the skill point.
     
  15. Do we really need to think up a new way to nerf yet another character type?

    Enough with the nerfs. We have enough already without getting our crafters, not to mention soulstones, involved in it.

    The lumberjacking bonus was stupid enough, trying to make everyone squeeze craft skills onto their combat characters is even more stupid.
     
  17. I'd rather see reinstatement of the ability for macing weapons to destroy armor - all kinds.
