So of the two alternatives wich will be swinging fastest:

    182 stamina and 50%SSI

    174 stamina and 60%SSI

if you have high SSi, you could have low stamina and vice versa. You just need to spend some time to calibrate both :)

Its rather dependent on the weapon. If the weapon has high swing speed to begin with, you don't need much Stamina/SSI, but if it has slow swing speed, then its good to have as much stamina and SSI as possible

With the factors you posted.. they will be the same no matter if you swing a 2 second wep or a 5 second weapon.

Aye as posted previously with those factors..same at FULL Stamina
However...stamina can go down throughout a fight.
So if you have no Stamina Leech to make sure you stay at full stamina and thus speed...the SSI is a better choice

    * I haven't worked the gargoyle weapons added after the original SA launch into these calculations.

In my calculations, there are no weapons that have a different swing rate between 182 Stam / 50 SSI and 174 Stam / 60 SSI.

For both set ups there are only 15 weapons that will NOT swing at the maximum of once every 1.25 seconds. 9 weapons @ 1.5 seconds, 2 weapons @ 1.75 seconds, 3 weapons @ 2 seconds, and 1 weapon @ 2.25 seconds.

If anything, I would suggest going with the 174 Stam / 60 SSI set up, because if use the 182 Stam / 50 SSI set up and you loose 3 Stam, you get knocked down a whole tick (.25 seconds). Whereas with the 174 Stam / 60 SSI set up, you could loose 24 Stam and not suffer a loss of swing speed / PDS.

Loosing 3 Stam with the 182 Stam / 50 SSI set up would increase the total number of weapons that will NOT swing at the maximum rate from 15 weapons to 26 weapons.

What weapon or set of weapons are you planning on running with? Archery would have the least likelyhood of sufferring Stam loss.

If you go for latter I'd drop stamina to like 160 and take more mana... Since 150-179 is same swingspeed.

side note: SSI of 55 is the same as 60.

What I do now is assume my stamina will be about 30 or 60 worst case during a battle. Look at the swing delay of my weapon and match the SSI to get as close to 1.25 s delay. This works really well.

In regard to 174 or 182 stamina you will never be at max after one damage hit so the 180 set point is not realistic to use in a calculator. You should be looking at the problem in reverse and look at the necessary SSI to get worst case stamina and best case swing delay. The stamina becomes all buffer amount above worst case. It is common to lose 100 stamina quickly.

Just thought i had to mention that archery swing speed works differently than melee swing speed. So, 60 is the true max for archery. I think the stratics calculator must have been made before this change? Id link the archery ssi / weapon speed chart i had, but this is a new comp and i lost the link. Im sure anyone could easily find it tho.

  12. How does archery SSI work differently than with melee weapons? 60 SSI is the true max for ALL weapons.

Yet another reason not to bother with PvP. You shouldnt' have to ICQ Stephen Hawking (referenced for humor) to analyze your stats before a battle.
