T-maps and guardians

    I have some 6 level t-maps decoded before the patch.
    They works well but there are some problems with the guardians.
    At 6 level spawn 5 guardians. Sometimes 2 ancient wyrm, 2 balron and a titano.
    Ok, they are difficult but also before the patch it's the same ( also if there was 4 monsters instead of 5).
    But... surprise! The "guardians" are really "guardians".
    I mean that they are around the chest. If you try to send away them they move for a little then come back around the chest.
    Obiouvsly it's impossible to attack 2 ancient wyrms and 2 balrons together.
    I think it's a little bug because to kill all monsters in a same time it's impossible!
    Someone has found the same problem to kill the guardians?

    It is a matter of your template and your tactics. To me, level 6 should be very difficult to solo, but not impossible. I think the threads here confirm that is the case. Some will come here and brag how easily they do them, but I take those posts with a grain of salt. Look in the treasure hunter forum for some ideas. Many have been posted.
     
  3. The new guardians are supposed to spring back to the chest if you take them too far.

    I've only done about a dozen level 6's so far (all solo) and the ones in Trammel seem about what I expected. I actually think the guardians in Malas are too easy for a level 6. I haven't found any maps for Felucca (which should be the same as Trammel), Ilshenar or Ter Mur, so I can't comment on those.

    Ilsh is child's play too. Hardest things on a L6 are rotters and exodus minions. Hardest thing on a Ter Mur is a lava elemental.

    GOOD!

    About time that the "tactic" of leading away high end monsters gets removed from the game. Want to take on the guardians, bring some friends or run an effective template (or bring friends that run an effective template).

    Too bad they still allow the telekinesis tactic...

    Telekinesis doesn't bother me... besides, what other use does that spell even have in UO lately? Unless something can be brought up as useful for Telekinesis, I see it as a useable tactic.

    Quite frankly, both the spell and remove traps as a skill could use a bit of rethinking.

    Even 4 Ancient Wyrms are doable now with a Mystic T-Hunter. You just have to take your time and work them from the edges as soon as you see your Slots drop to Zero pop another RC in there.

    Its a shame to retire my Bard for good but ty EA for the Mystics.

    SW WoD helps also speed things up.

    I solo lvl 6 maps with my tamer. Earlier today I had 5 ancient wyrms and a few balrons spawn all at once. What I do is drag one away, and beat on it with my greater dragon. Yes, it does eventually teleport back to the chest. When it does that I just run back and get it again, and repeat until it is dead. Then I go on to the next. It does take some time, but it works .. eventually. :)

    P.S. telekinesis opens doors ;) that was always my favorite
