Our battles on my shard rage from about, us being 6 people to about 11..

Now.. With Necro Mage, slowly becoming more and more useless, due to en. apples, and the only thing its worth is killing stuff in rat spawns, what are some alternative templates?

Now Im not doing this just for me, but for other people who are at a loss on a template, and we can discuss them, there is probably already a topic like this, but like all the other stickies, it probably hasnt been posted on in a while.

Templates i have thought of are

    Wrestle Inscribe Poison.

    always good

    Wrestle Parry Inscribe,

Can destroy archers but that is about it, mainly a defensive template

idk anymore, i can think of more, but im not going to list them so other people can list their unique/non-unique templates

    post away

As they say, location location location. But in general, a necro mage is always a powerful template to play.

To me, it sounds like you and your friends are having "playing your template" issues and not actual template issues.

Wither... poison strike... corpse skin... blood oath... evil omen. All are good necro spells. Hell, even doing pain spike spam can be of use.

Personally, I run purely defensive templates with nox parry mages. One has wrestle... the other has anatomy. I chose this route because my shard sports WAY more dexers than mages playing.

If I am surviving on my own and throwing fields, I am an asset to my guild. If I am dead because of lack of defense, I'm a liability to my guild. Sure I'm not doing concentrated high power attacks but fields cause enough havoc to be useful... espeically the DP type:thumbsup:

I have tried playing nox mages but they don't play to my strengths ;)

    I love my bush mage.

    120 eval
    120 swords
    120 parry
    120 bushido
    106 magery
    60 med
    100 tatics
    after items of course.

You get all the power of magery plus the defence of bushido with only a slight hit to evaid on the count of no anatomy. But more than that you get nerve strike witch coupled with magery spells makes a nice offensive weapon. Against Zerg the evasion makes for staying power not to mention a chance to get a spell off becouse there damage was *evaide*.

Another important thing to note is when you have someone running your able to chase them down with nerve strike instead of letting them get away while you stop to prep a spell

spellweaving is amazing in a zerg vs zerg fight. thunderstorm and wildfire. another is an alchy mage tossin exp pots, but i took a liking to a anat scribe mage with enough spellweaving to thunderstorm.
