    Now this type of complaint is a little umm....different

    How hard to I have to shove my $$ into your face, before you will take it? I am very angry that your company will not take my money!! All I want to do is pay 15.50 to your company for the High Seas Upgrade but you wont let me!! It says my 88month old account is to new to buy a code!! Really?!?!?

    So then I go to the lovely EA Store and they do take my money but guess what, they WONT LET ME PUT THE FLIPPING CODE IN THE FLIPPING LITTLE UPGRADE ACCOUNT SPACE, TO FLIPPING UPGRADE MY ACCOUNT, SO I CAN FLIPPING PLAY THE FLIPPING HIGH SEAS!!!
    *I like the word flipping*

    So I am angry that I had to force you to take my $$ and now that you did take it, I cannot upgrade my account!!!!!!!

    Aye hard to see flipper if your code no workie after they got your $ or for some of us half our accts ARE updated half not cuz ....the sight to buy HighSeas adventure not trustworthy enough to brave trying to buy codes again.

    So only half of my chrs. even see flipper swimming around while sailing in High Seas adventure...and half my chrs. never will get to see flipper in High Seas Adventure mode. That is flippin sad :(

    Of course we all know if we see flippin flipper dolphin in UO whether we are High Seas adventured or not....chances are good we are about to be ganked by one or several water elementals ! :)

    Out of curiosity, where are you trying to put the code? On the website in Account Management, or in the game itself?

    If you're trying to do it in the game itself, it needs to go into the Account Management page.

    Not saying this is your issue for certain, but sometimes people forget where the codes go depending on what kind of purchase it is.

    I had the same problem. I called them on the phone ( had to wait 14 minutes ) but they took it and upgraded my account while I listened to their crappy on hold muzak.

    I too had this problem. I discovered that I can't add the expansion with Windows Explorer. I downloaded Google Chrome, had no problem with that.

    As far as the Booster pack, the best thing is the increase in Storage ;)

    I wasted 1 hour sand a half on the phone to get to someone who actually knew what ultima online was, they sent me an e-mail and told me to reply with some info because they couldn't speak english properly.

    Then after a few e-mails I realised they had no idea how to help me, thats when Cal offered personally to help us.

    Since then me and many others have not received any replies, either through e-mail or through Cal...

    I just cancelled both my accounts, this is pathetic.

    Sorry for all your trouble there kiddo.
    Give the Support line a jingle an tune out the music (it sux's its been on that line for over 5 years geesh). They will help you out quickly.

    As for you Ahuaeyjnkxs I do understand your troubles there. Call the help line and slowly tell them the code will not go in. Ask a english speaking friend to call and help... sorry you have had so much trouble. Dont give up.

    My english is just fine ! My cousin from Maine understands me just fine, so do my english friends from ontario...

    It's those people, who knows where they are from, but they cannot seem to even find my account !

    The e-mail route is moot since I wrote to them in caps :

    "WHAT YOU ERASED MY GRANDFATHERED ACCOUNT ?!"

    I didn't swear, nor say anything bad... but they are ignoring all my e-mails.

    I wonder if it's possible that my account has a notice on it to give me bad service because I had many real troubles to reactivate my old account and it made them angry or something... I did give them alot of trouble, but hey, it was deserved... two weeks to reactivate an account...

    Anyhow... I don't get it , why don't they just pay yahoo stores 15$ a month and get the codes sold there, it's as secure, faster, and never bugs.

    The problem was the area to select State/Providence was not loading correctly. So I could not confirm my information on the website. The EA Store had no problem taking my $$ LoL.

    After I said EA/Mythic sucks because they wont take my $$ someone named Mesanna just happen to be online and in global chat. Yea what a perfect timing eh? LoL I don't think EA/Mythic sucks but thought it was funny to say since they wouldn't take my $$.

    I purchased High Seas because I LOVE IT!!! Its the best expansion "Booster" they have EVER made. I LOVE the boats because they are Flipping fun! and Flipper rocks! *Smiles at QZ*. Our EM on Chesapeake does a Catch of the week and I HAVE TO WIN!!!! If he didnt do a catch of the week I prolly wouldnt have upgraded another account. (This one doesn't have a fisher but it does have a alchemist.)

    Giving EA money is like putting money in a wishing well. They need to be fixing their sites and the game asap.

    There's also this minimum of a 1000 people that wish to give EA 15$ a month to have a classic shard, for the last 7 years...

    Nobody is going to be flocking back to UO if these issues with billing are fixed. I was one of the many that was hit when WAR accounts were over billed. There was many horror stories and people directly blamed EA/Mythic. I was hit for 13 charges. I didnt blame EA/Mythic b/c it was a vendor error not theirs. When I talked to the customer rep (thank god it was not an outsourced job) and was very cool with her about it she sounded so relieved how I handled it. I could tell she was very stressed out from other callers before me. I even said I know its not your guys fault and understand that.

    She told me I get the refund of 13 extra charges back in 3 days. No worries I said to myself. I only got 6 of the charges back out of the 13. SOOOOOOOOOoooooo I called yet again but this time I was mad. It should fo been handled correctly the first time not half ***. So I was talking to a guy (again not an outsourced job) this time explained my situation. He said 3 more days. I stopped him saying anything further and said no. It has been 3 days I want the rest of the 7 charges back by tomorrow morning or my bank will be dealing with it. My money was refunded the next day. Now tell me why they tell you 3 days and that money was back in my account the next day? This time EA/Mythic dropped the ball so I hold them responsible on the second part I had to deal with. I deal with gametime cards from now on and I dont buy them from EA sites. Not one issue since i have gone that route.

    For people to upgrade their accounts though you are stuck going through EA/Mythic sites. They need to pay attention to these situatuions and correct them asap. We wont have 1000 classic shard players coming back b/c they dont understand what classic is let alone get a pay site fixed.

    OP, is your account currently active or are you trying to buy the code and add it to an account you're planning to activate?

    I had the same error because I was planning to add the SA and HS expansions before reactivating. Also, I was able to do it using Chrome, but I got a couple page submission errors like their server was borked, but after a couple tries it worked. Good luck.

    No the account was active. It appears that they had a image load failure on the website which did not allow me to enter my State.

    I've had a few problems with the UO Game Codes store. I e-mailed them with a few complaints and even offered to help correct some of them, but no response.

    I sort of feel like the UOGC is someone's side-job and that it doesn't receive any decent amount of attention.

    Yes... it certainly is the best expansion "Booster" they have EVER made.

    It also has the unique distinction of being the ONLY expansion "Booster" they have EVER made.

    Given that, they could have provided a download code that provided access to a picture of bovine feces, and it still would have been the best expansion "Booster" they have EVER made.

    Considering the number of bugs, the rushed release, the limited scope of the product, and several other issues that some people will both complain about existing and secondarily cheer that the product is beyond reproach, aside from the "Hey, buy me because I have expanded storage capabilities!" feature, I almost would have prefered the bovine feces.

    It's not exactly uncommon knowledge that if they had delayed release by a couple of weeks and simply spent time removing some of the gross bugs that were in the product -- bugs that were pointed out during the Beta/Open Test/non-Beta/whatever you want to call it -- then the release would have been far smoother.

    For a digital release without shelf presence, there was absolutely no reason other than waving a "Hey, we sold X copies in Y days!" spreadsheet at EA.

    And... yeah... it IS that bad. You only need to look around the forums to see the extreme number of issues with the way the expansion was implemented. I mean, let's be honest here... the reason no one has gotten 120 fishing powerscrolls is because they don't exist. The only way to get them is to build them via scroll binders. Fishing, quests, lack of fishmonger reputation being visible... Sure, some of the issues have been fixed, and others will (hopefully) be fixed.

    But UO:HS as a release shouldn't even get a report card. It should get a call from the principle and suspended for misbehavior until its parents can bring it under control.

    It's no mistake that expanded storage was a key selling point. Believe me, it sold as many or more copies of UO:HS as the content -- which non-fishers have a limited interest in -- managed to sell.

    So... yes... yes, it is that bad.

    I actually expect -- if they want us to believe they're going to continue to support the game -- that they eventually learn some lessons and figure out how to do proper releases.

    Using the lowest possible benchmark as a standard is never a good idea. UO's developers SHOULD be aiming higher, and I think at some level they hope to... unfortunately the track record sort of speaks for itself too.

    And is why I praise wow that they raised the standard of what is acceptable to the average customer.
    Not many of the wow crowd would put up with ea for long :p
