Can you guys (devs) plop one down on the fel side too, please?
We already asked when they did it for the people in Tram and EA said they didn't care about the people who play in Fel, so we wont be getting them.
You see it makes more sense to have it in Tram so that only the blue population can get a lvl 6 circle easily, instead of having them in Fel to where every paying account would have easy access to them. Just ask the Devs!!
The first thing I did when I saw it in Trammel was recall to Felucca side to see if it was there also.
Could be a Faction thing, the True Britannians could drop guards around it making it impossible for other Factions to use it? Maybe that is why they did not place one there? Or if they did place then all the other Factions would call fowl play and demand one in their city?
Better still, remove the one from Trammel. Such things on our streets are abominations. IF they must exist anywhere, put it inside a mage shop.
Elladan of Baja
Or how about they just place one in a non-faction Fel city?
Actually whatever faction owns the town gets to place guards, so if Minax takes control of the town they could place guards around the circle. That would slow TB, COM, and SL down but wouldn't prevent them from getting a circle since all they would have to do is kill the guards, and now days they normally just jump on non-factioned chars and kill the guards. They will turn grey but since there isn't a guardzone in the faction towns they don't have to worry about getting guardwhacked.
This begs the question, "How do you get 5 people in Fel to stand still long enough to get a circle?"
Or, "How do you get 5 people in Fel to agree to do one thing at the same time?"
Not hard if your all guildmates. Just type in alliance chat, "anyone want a level 6 focus 80-120 SW, go to fel WBB (or at a designated meeting place)", or for those that only have human JOAT SW then it would be a low level focus. People recall/gate in grab circle and off they go. It would take less than 30 seconds. Highly unlikely that anyone would just leave char(s) sitting on the circle like on the tram side.
The one in Prism was made a "level 6" one to be special, in an out of the way place that's hard to reach to balance out its power. There shouldn't be ones of that strength anywhere else in the world... either remove the ones you guys placed or make them normal ones, please.
With as little other balance spellweaving has, its something that's necessary.
Shame on you!! You are making way too much sense for the Devs to grasp.
I agree with you on this. The ones at the banks should not have been mre than a lvl 5 and to get a lvl 6 you go to the prism of light.
But here again we have someone who is just making to much sense for the devs to grasp.
I don't get it, whats the problem with having a level 6 circle readily accessible?
I use it all the time, however, i totally agree!
I would rather see it give a 5.
Prism should be the ONLY place for a 6...FULL STOP!
personaly I think its the best change they have done in the game for a while I like it the way it is and where it is..
Shhh...don't tell anyone but I have my red stealth archer hidden at WBB and if or when Draconi shows up, I'm going to Pk him and take the circle for myself. *taps foot, looks at watch, 30 seconds goes by and no Draconi, mutters "screw this" and recalls away*.
It was hinted in the previous post that there would be some changes based of of risk and rewards. Found the post.
From Draconi http://vboards.stratics.com/showthread.php?p=1283283#post1283283
"Actually, the point is to have a higher powered one in community areas, versus the personal ones you can have.
Additionally, I think we'll consider making a higher level than community ones for difficult-to-reach ones. Risk vs. Reward, and all."
Something tells me that if you were a red spellweaver you would have a different opinion on this.
So I guess its ok with you that all reds are left out of this change?
Good to see your all about fairness :loser:
I did not say do not put another one in fel! I said leave the one thats in tram were its at ! its to bad you have to attack me and call me a loser for having a opinion I think thats sad for you....
Personally I think adding a higher powered one in a risky place is counter productive, they could have just stuck the normal level 5 circle at WBB and placed the level 6 in the "risky" areas. Really adding the level 6 to the community and then adding a higher level one in other area's brings us back to where we were when the level 6 was only available in prism.
I do not mind the level 6 at WBB just saying the idea of making a more powerful one in a hard to reach place is a step backwards....
I agree. The biggest complaint was that there wasn't a set location for SW to get a level 5 focus. On some shards, some people were kind enough to put an arcane circle in their Luna vendor house for people to use, but that was on a shard to shard basis. A level 5 circle at Tram WBB would have been nice and probably no one would have complained, since a level 5 circle at fel WBB probably wouldn't have been used much.
I like your idea but how about we take it a step further and make people explore the towns a bit. Make it so the circle spawns daily in a random place in town and maybe make the actual town it spawns in random so people have to explore every city in order to find the circle?
I would argue with you based on his post, saying that "being red should have consequences" but that argument is long gone...I do not care either way, this thread was begging to have people fight. heh.
Rarely did I go to prism for a level 6, because to me, it wasn't worth going from level 5 to level 6. In terms of time and cost, it wasn't worth the upgrade of going from 5 to 6. Maybe if I was already in prism getting keys or guildies were there and needed 1 or 2 more for a 6, I'd go.
Honestly, it's not worth the hassel/trip to go doing into prism for the difference between a level 5/6 focus.
Sorry, your post sort of came off like that... my bad
Can we desist with the comparison between real life and game play please?
Most people who play red chars accept the consequences of their actions in that they accept that their giving up being able to go to tram, Luna, Tokuno, participating in all the tram EM events, or the ability to purchase supplies from NPCs that blue chars take for granted when their on a red char. My point was and always has been that by having the level 6 focus only being at the bottom of the Prism of Light on both sides made it even. Now in for whatever reason they decided to add a circle that gives a level 6 focus to tram WBB so now if people wanted they could bank sit all day on that circle with their blue spellweaver(s) giving level 6's to anyone who came by. Yet the fel side gets nada, except for the hint that they might get a higher level sometime in the future for using the more out of reach location circle. Really!! Thats all we need is a level 7 focus or will it be a 6.1 level focus, etherway, no one was running around demanding the ability to get a higher focus nor was anyone demanding a level 6 focus circle be placed at tram WBB until someone thought that adding a arcane circle to their bank design would be a good idea. Props to the person who thought of that. It wouldn't have been a problem if it was a normal arcane circle. The problem was the devs decided to take it one step further and make that circle give level 6's. When everyone else heard about this, people on other shards asked to be included and walla in very short order all shards had a tram WBB circle that gave level 6's. Now people would just like the same circle to be placed on the fel side. It's hard enough for a red spellweaver to get a focus. Mine are all blue, but if a red guildmate wanted a level 6 then I would have to run 4 of my chars or have other guildmates run their chars all the way to the bottom of the Prism of Light. Right now the dev should just lock down an arrow shaft in front of the fel WBB with a plague stating that "Tram WBB got a arcane circle that gave a level 6 focus and all the people in fel got was the shaft".
This is officially my longest post on Stratic and since most people probably gave up reading it after the first sentance I will summarize. Blah, blah, blah, red spellweaver got the shaft.
Can we? ........Yes!
Will we? errr.... for you, Yes!
In all honesty, I applaud the Dev team for adding this change. I do believe it was needed... at least a lvl 5.
What disappoints me is that it seems like Fel sometimes isn't even an afterthought.
How hard could it have been to say, "lets add an alter in a Tram town on each shard to make up for the custom bank changes/imbalance. Oh and lets make sure to add one in a Fel town as well".
Or just add them to a non-faction Fel town only, so that every player can participate in EA's good will and not just a portion of the population.
Ok, that was good, I had not seen that one before
Perhaps your not up to date with Spell Weaving and / or Spell Weaving on Low Population Servers.
I suspect the Arcane Circle in WBB on my Server probably, overwhelmingly is used to gain a ..... questionable level 3 Focus Item rather than an even more questionable Level 2 Focus Item.
As far as I have read in the Spell Casters Forum, Spell Weaving is .... well considerably nerf'd unless you can get at least a level 4 Focus Item (or was it Level 5). That getting enough people in a Arcane Circle in Town/House let alone Prism is for the General Population like winning the Lotery and who wants to waste such luck on getting an in game artifact that will go poof on you any way.
No, in my opinion, this was a boon to Spell Weaving that perhaps just didn't go far enough.
What I might rather have seen was a complete do away with the Arcane Focus, tune the Spell Weaving Spells to the Power level that is appropriate and have done with it all.
