The new treasure hunting is all good... but....

    It is extremely disappointing that there is not a single piece of loot I would even weight down my pack with, except for the new stuff and materials. Can't even get a relic frag from anything

    Hmmm.......

    Just wait for when the "new" items will loose their novelty flavour and will no longer be new any more nor much wanted...........

    I wonder what players will then think of Treasure Chests and Maps...

    Magic items are an important component of treasure chests and it is diheartening to me that hardly any of them is seen as a "keeper"......

    This is a result of imbuing. Since we can pretty much tailor our equipment to meet our needs now the only purpose looted equipment serves is to unravel. If it doesn't unravel to a relic, it's considered junk. BUT, I am not asking for it to be changed. There are very nice pieces dropping but you have to be able to see the tree in the forest to know it. There are 2 drawbacks to looted equipment. You can't remove unwanted properties and you can't imbue the item as much as a crafted one. Therefore they'll never be in an uber set, but they can drastically cut the expense of sets for your non-main characters.

    They Talismans wont.
    There's enough variety in the properties that can spawn, and the durability is short enough that they'll break in a realistic time frame that there will be a continuing demand for the best talismans.

    Mana Surge shields look like they'll have some staying power as well.

    Forged Pardons definitely wont become worthless.

    Alacrity Scrolls are consumable and so are SoT. SoTs haven't diminished in demand since they were introduced.

    shouldn't looted items have a 525 cap for imbuing....? maybe a rare arty/item that can remove a property and make the items non pof'able.... I always felt that Treasure maps should be super random in the essence that you never know what you get..... make a low low chance of just something crazy spawning. A replica.... A artifact...... anything that is sort of cool... Make it a real treasure... It does not have to be often at all.... 1 out of 150 , 1 out of a 1000 level 6 maps, or even worse, it doesn't matter.... Its all about the possibility in my book. For the first time in the games life they have actually made it kinda cool to treasure hunt (in pre trammel days t hunting was sweet but i wont even go that far back) which is a great start.... Ill say great job dev team.

    I have to agree with the OP, and while I was happy to have found a level 4 chest quite easily, and I got a Creepy Vine which was cool, an Alacrity scroll, and 4 Abyssal Cloth....holy cow the items were still crap..LOL..seriously.

    Of course, if there was good normal loot on a regular basis, you'd get some of the people around here crying about how those "indestructable" new items were added, as in the rants against the suggestion of adding ML ingredients to the chests.

    Traditionally, though, my best jewelry has come from T-maps and SOS, and I don't see this changing, as many Jewelry pieces would have a weighted imbue value over 500, more so than any other equipment type. I still use a ring that I got from a chest 6 years ago.

    The only post I've read from someone who was able to get relic fragments when unravelling had looted the guardians as well as the chest.
