The New Uber Template

  1. Being a Necro/Mage with Eval is currently the new uber template it seems... And UO/EA games approves of it as well. Why you may ask, let me explain...

    First cast Evil Omen on the victim. This spell will never decay unless a GM removes it or he has a friend recast it on the victim. Until then, EACH Damage done to the victim will be at a 25% bonus against them.

    Second cast Curse on the victim. This spell will never decay unless they eat a enchanted apple. The Stat loss will return to the victim in time, but the resist %'s will still be at 10% less than normal until a apple is eaten.

    WAALAAA, now you can do up too 35% more Damage on the victim. These spells casted are under normal means and require no bugs or exploits to be done. The spells casted on the victim will never decay... Including by letting time go buy or by logging out and in.

    evil omen is removed once a spell is cast on the victim.

    the curse thing seemed to be a bug, curse wouldn't go away after 2mins, but i haven't noticed it persisting in the last week or so, some might still be experiencing it though.

  9. Evil Omen will stay forever. Every spell will continue to do the 25% or +1 poison or whatever. I have played with it and it still does the extra Dmg. And the curse will stay forever doing the 10% loss to resist, but you will get the stat bonus back in up too 3 mins.

    Just check your buff/debuff bar. The proof is there. Then check your resist %, again there's the proof.

    Use the space bar or not. It is not a violation of the RoC. Most will not consider you as a serious member of the community, though. I certainly will not.

    Necro/mage has been a template for quite some time. Even before dragon slaves.

    No actually it does not ... u just get bugged on your menu system nothing else

    And I do not run a necro mage I have no reason to lie... I run a parry mage... that is the template ... I call it adapting [​IMG] word is Verum does not like parry mages lol.

    Necro mage is weak with all the stealthers and tamers out there I laugh at a necro because If I am on my dexer I can destroy them If I am on my mage I always have 40 chiv so there pretty much useless.

    Can't blame a warrior for not liking parry anything. But hld/hci is bad too. Imo dci/hci/hld/hla/parry/bushido evasion need removed. Make it a 50 50 chance to hit if both have equal weapon skill/wrestling.

    Tell that to all the uhallers who think necro is the most overpowered skill in the game.

    they all think that because on production shards the better guilds always have choke points set up with fields and a few necros in wraith form spamming wither.

    they also use the push though to break though defenses and people don't like it :]

    i played on prodo for awhile as a necro and if we got in a big fight, as long as i had 2 cross healers all i had to do was wither over and over and people dropped

    They complain about most necro spells, not just wither. Evil omen, blood oathe, strangle, pain spike. Not sure if they still do but before I took a break they complained about corpse skin and poison strike too. Imo necro is overall in a nerfed state and needs boostings. Corpse skin should be able to do something no matter what...no stacked resists. Curse is 10x better than corpse skin, but no one complains about it. And something needs to be done about all the remove curse nonsense. The only spell I'd nerf of necro is blood oathe...decrease its duration, but I wouldn't do that until necro was boosted elsewhere.

    As far as wither goes, it's an area spell. The people who suggest to nerf it are often the same ones who oppose turning on friendly fire. Nerfing wither isn't the solution. Turning on friendly fire is, for area spells and fields spells, hit area weapon mods, splash damage, that shortbow special, and anything else.

    I read the first couple of your posts written this way, but until you find your space bar... no more. Now I realize your posts are not meant just for me, but I offer this as constructive criticism since I am probably no the only person feeling this way.

    The 'bug fix' list from Publish 52, due on Test this week

    * Will no longer be marked as a summoned pet.
    * Will no longer be deleted by other monsters special moves.


    Fixed a bug where some "Sacks of Flour" could not be used as a cooking ingredient
    Players guarded by pets that are attacked via the Paralyze spell in a guard zone will no longer get guardwhacked
    Flattened the ground to remove pit in Moonglow, on tram/fel.
    Players who transfer to a shard from another will no longer start in Magincia.
    Fixed a bug with the weight of stacks of bola balls being incorrect
    Small stacks of ore should no longer get stuck in "This object is in use" mode
    Runic fishing poles made with Oak will not return values of 0 any longer
    Commas can now be seen in checks (instead of 1000000, you will see 1,000,000)

    Nah give me 2/6 a GM suit and a staff of the magi, and I could show you effective necro template. 120x across the board. Same as regular shards for me, and just as effective here. Curse Corpse Omen Para Explos FS Pain Spike. Death.

    Whoa, fixing a 4 year old (at least) cooking bug!? I'm going to have to update my Treatise on Flour in the sticky FAQ on the cooking forum! [​IMG]

    when was the last time you tried to cast through lighting strike? i cant seem to get a spell of 1v1 angainst any bushido out there
