The Rumours of PC Gaming's Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated...

    So I was meandering through my favourite news site a day or two ago, and I came across this:


    So I watched it, and in case you can't access it in your country, it's a story about pro gaming. It shows the young man gaming. Now this story is from 2014, not 2004. He's using a keyboard and mouse, connected to what I assume is a pc. He makes "in the low six figures" per year.

    I was under the impression that everyone under 40 was gaming either on consoles, or in a browser, and using either a touch screen or game controller to to it. I guess I was wrong... :)

    MOBA (LoL, DotA) and RSTS (Star Craft 2) games are really competitive and can only really be done on PC for competition. Both genera have a general age of 18-30s that active play day and night (Reallly popular in Asia and East Europe).

    Let them balk at the "living in your parents basement" now... whaaaaaa! My 18yo runs the gambit of all gaming. PC, console, handheld. A lot of free pc games. Heck even Age of Mythology is online now. Prostagma! bawk bawk boom!
