It had been almost exactly eight months since Bennu first stepped foot on the soil of a new land. A familiar but at the same time, a strange place wrought with insanities beyond measure. As an ascended being Bennu had been charged by the great ones with Inspiration, and inspire is what he had aimed to do. He had inspired Lady Amandine to charge headlong into the glorious resurgence of the Knights of the Crux Ansata. He had inspired Lord Havel in his archaeological pursuits, and most importantly he had used his powers to release a young Magincian boy from temporal limbo, causing quite a stir when the Time Lord came to answer the challenge. The people seemed to enjoy the inspiration he had provided for these past months, and yet behind all of this there was a dark side few knew of. Bennu had also inspired the wicked Bellatrix Adhara to betray her sister and massacre hundreds. He had guided countless armies in their march across Britannia against its citizens. His actions had destroyed the lives of hundreds. Fortunes had been lost and gained. He had even plucked a star from the sky and hurled it into the Mountains of Avarice. He told himself it was to inspire. He told himself it was to breed Courage, Love and Truth among the populace… “Surely heroes will step forward to thwart this challenge…” Bennu thought. …and they always did. However the strain had weakened him. Some enjoyed the darker inspiration he had provided and in this darkness his spirit started to waver. Some part of him reveled in the chaos, the blood and the death of the killing fields. A sickness had entered his form and maybe he enjoyed killing a little too much, maybe the forest of decrepit trees that sprouted forth from Bellatrix’s footsteps had taken root in his soul. Maybe it was finally time to end it… The sickness had taken hold of his heart-soul and wrestled with him, his sadness was overwhelming and the decision had to be made. How could he tell them? Bennu took the shadow of thought from his mind and laid it to rest at the door of the EM Hall in Britain, it read as follows: "My Friends, Tonight at 9pm by the eastern sun I ask that you join me in Britain at the standard place of our meetings... I would like to talk to you." ...And that was the end of it.
