The trammelisation of Felucca

    Lets face it, I'm locking the stable door after the horse has bolted here. However I'd just like to know what thought processes the dev team went through when they decided to keep the guards active during the invasion?

    Lets consider a few things:

    I should indeed be happy that the devs decided to include the whole player base in this new event by even including it on the fel side as previously they were catering only for blues for some reason.

    The beacon was running in both Trammel & Fellucca in Parallel, so if hardcore trammel players didn't want to miss out on anything, they would not be forced to go to fel anyway.

    The guards being active just doesn't make sense in a story arc they should be busy attacking the invaders.

    The guards being active made it COMPLETELY impossible for a guild of red players to play as they're unable to aid each other.

    I don't really understand the dev's thought process..

    They tried an invasion once with turning the guards off [Britain invasion] and that resulted in absolutely no on participating on the Fel side. Better to have an event where people actually show up than waste resources on an event where nobody will go to.

    Hey Merv, I have had a whale of a time on my stealth Ninja Thief in Fel. It not been all one sided for the tramies ;)

    So...leaving guards on for town invasions in fel is...trammelisation of fel?
    I call false advertising on your thread title. How many town invasions throughout time in UO had guards deactivated? Serious question...

    well this problem will be being solved with this new patch, the new dungeon in fel well I guess the guards wont be active Inside the dungeon :) Lets make place to raids ! yay

    That was the sentence I heard from red players when I played in Felucca as a Trammel (blue) player... go figure. Have fun.

    i dont know about guards, but there is a butcher in minoc tram that was throwin down on capts. he was a beast!!!

    Noone forced you to play a red char.
    You could play a blue char in fel like everyone else.

    Nah, the problem still exists, no one will go to the fel one for anyone to raid, it's in Trammel too =/

    Seems like only yesterday that reds couldn't even go into towns without getting guard whacked, and there were "rumors" of a bank that'd deal with them -- but only just that one bank. Also anyone remember stat loss?

    Fel I suppose was more Trammelized back then than it is now.

    Reminds me of when a few of us hired Archers in Skara as hirelings and how they would hit bard captains for us, seemingly easier than US!

    I m not sure if the new Blackthorn dungeon as the same numbrrs of captains but to me it looked like only 2-3 captains spawned at same time per invasion in the dungeon. I dont know if you went to Atl, but there was about 50 poeple per invasion in the towns, so I doubt only trammel will be enought for the minax arty demand.

    Only during the first few weeks. This is a permanent addition to the game, eventually interest will dwindle and the crowds will drop.

    You don't have to worry. Once they are running both dungeons, no on will ever go to the Fel side. You can sit around and raid each other...oh wait...you don't like doing that....you preferred lured blue PVM character sheep to kill. Remember your play created the land that is now Fel. Enjoy that sandwich....I hope it's tasty.

    dont like tram play siege otherwise dont cry about it we have no tram anywhere, but this is the part that stops most we also have no insurance

    its ok i understand that siege isnt for everyone

    hehehehe most shards dont really have a felluca anymore...just a second trammel....with dead trees and plants...thats the way i see it on my world tour anyways...
