Thinking about moving to great lakes!

Discussion in 'UO Great Lakes' started by Devils_Reject, May 27, 2008.

  1. Im thinking about moving to great lakes from my current shard and was just wandering if any guilds are recruiting, mainly pvp guilds that do spawns, raids, or just plain old smash and grab! Also hows production there is the shard overrun with crafters? and last but not least and spots to place a houise?:shots:

I am sure you can get into BC they are recruiting. You will never have to worry about fighting outnumbered.

To answer your question - Great Lakes is much better than it was a month ago. Most of the guilds that clearly speedhack have moved on. Still a couple lingering around but nothing like it was before. There are a few large guilds that will provide some good field fights. TDR/JW, BC, PWNT, XV - the fights are always interesting and there are relatively few speedhackers/d-bags in the guilds mentioned above.

There are enough crafters so that there is always a good selection of items to buy in Luna, but not too many that you can't sell your good gear and make a good profit.

I've played several shards and I always come back to Great Lakes.

There are openings for housing, but you won't find an 18x18 or a tower plot.

The only unfortunate part about great lakes is the forums. Lately, all people seem to post is crap about their real lives, which no one really cares about except for maybe 2 or 3 people (those people also account for 90% of the posts). Maybe it's just me, but I have no desire or interest in hearing about your recent move or watching a crappy youtube video. I did, however, enjoy the joke thread...

lol lynk you're such a bad ass, look how much your bringing to these boards..... Maybe when more than 2 or 3 people post here the boards will be worth a damn. If you hate the r/l threads why even look at them? Nothing better to do with your time? :( Heres an idea GO OUT AND PVP

I bring plenty, I addressed the initial question that was asked unlike the first few posts.

Good idea on a better way to spend my time with PvP. I'll quickly check with my IT Department to see if they are OK with me installing UO at work. I'll let you know how it goes. Please continue to post your good ideas. </end sarcasm>

Did i say just now while your at work? Try going home, pvping and taking screenshots. Oh wait theres a reason you dont do that....If you ever did that it might bring some kind of excitment to these boards. Bring up a pvp topic or something, dont just ***** take initiative

I don't need to take screenshots of PvPing. Getting your e-pat on the back doesn't really do it for me. I play for fun, not the approval of others.

Did i say to give yourself a pat on the back? Not at all, when you start a thread with tons of screenshots it starts conversations. Remember the 7-8 page one on the old forums with bthkiller and fred? everyone got involved and it was a great thread. Post a picture of a huge trash talker dead and just wait for their reply on here with some kind of excuse.

It's not a hard concept you're just thick headed :)

No I don't remember the thread, so it must not have been that great.

When you are right you are right. One of my heads is quite thick indeed.

I would like to see you two in a mud pit, hog tied, on your bellies fighting over a twinkie that i place in the center. That would be far funnier to watch then you two pancakes about whos archer is better. come on now. at least you get something sweet out of the deal.

Still Frame : More probable that it was just a worthless post.

Barbosa: I would totally get that twinkie. I don't recall us ever discussing who has a better archer so I'm not sure where that came from.

*waits for another retort from Still Frame that will be poorly written, make no sense, and have no merit*

Lynk you're just clueless my friend :) as for the twinkie im sure you would get it because i just wouldnt want it.

I'd dip that twinkie in ranch dressing, cover it with bacon bits, and eat it in one bite. Delicious - thanks for the tip on that Gravakiv.

To quote the Southpark Canadians: Don't call me friend, buddy.
