I know this is lazy but.... While I am not an experienced in game gardener (I normally only grow orange petals) how about an option that if you place a beehive in the general area of the garden beds the bees will self pollinate the plants. This option could just be something that its turned on/off via the beehive. You could also maybe add an option the bees would randomly pollinate the plants with pollen from the surrounding area but that sounds like a coding nightmare. Just the self pollinate would make sense :)

Pretty sure plants will self pollinate if you leave them along already.

If the bees would crosspoll the plants, I would be happy, also if it increase the chance for mutant seed and SoR, it would be cool. Maybe there would be more Honey from the beehive too :)

Shouldn't beekeeping be a skill/profession? Maybe in conjunction with spellweaving?! Imagine you could have an everlasting version of Nature’s Fury in your backpack or at the end of a staff (would be a two-handed weapon then) :smile2:

Make it a sub-skill like masonry and glassblowing.

We don't need more half-baked/half-assed/half-useable skills in UO.

Well, considering that Einstein predicted that when the bees become extinct mankind will only survive them for a short few years (and bees' numbers have been declining dramatically in the recent years be it for pollution, diseases etc), I guess their crucial importance to life deserves a fruitful presence also in Ultime Online so, I am all in favour of such a change !!

There is no evidence that Einstein actually ever made such a statement. The anecdote is highly apocryphal.

The same with the definition of insanity, compound interest, Franklin talking about two wolves and a lamb, Abraham Lincoln's 1863 quote about the problem verifying quotes on the Internet. :)

Ok, the Beekeeper skills could be sub-skills to Herding, e.g. Bee Handling and Honey Extraction. And then they could add a number of Mastery spells, like the ones Bards have.

To stay with the Gardening/Druid theme, Herding could be extended to allow you to herd the botanical creatures of Sosaria.

Imagine to have a Bog Thing, a Reaper (!?!) or a Quagmire in tow, or better yet, five - of each!

Musicianship and Provocation would actually fit nicely in such template, I think.

    Spellweaving 120
    Herding 100
    Musicianship 120
    Provocation 120
    Hiding 100
    Stealth 120
    Necromancy 40 (for recall)

    Voila! :smile2:

My son and I made up a whole druid char for uo the other day! We were just fun rambling but use of tree fellows, and flock of birds, and poison mushroom fields and taking animal shapes for use of inherit qualities of said beast. et cetera et cetera

(yes a spellweaver had many of the druid traits)

Well I certainly have a life time on honey already, lol. If they made the beehives be able to do something I'd like an on/off switch on that. Usually when they change something I'm not real crazy about the idea.
