Treasure Chest Disappointment

    I am totally disappointed in the Level 7 treasure maps. I thought you guys said these would be tough. Most of the level 6 maps I have done are tougher than these wimpy 7s. And the loot is poor. You would think there would be something extra special in the 7s besides a master key.

    My suggestion - make them so that you truely need a group effort to do them and there out to be at least a half dozen relic type fragment loot in them.

    Come on guys - toughen them up more and make it worth the time to do.

    Level 7s are kinda easy huh, the only ones I ever have an issue with are the illeshner maps only if the spawn more than one renegade changeling.

  4. Completely agree, said as much in beta.

    Aside from the general loot needing improving I think they should change the parragon artifact for something worthwhile, on the higher maps at least (I mean lets face it most of that set was old hat when it came out years ago), and also make a map for groups that spawns multiple monsters while you're pulling to save everyone sitting around wondering why they're there.

    And let everyone pull, that way ya get more than one spawn sometimes, and everyone can see whats comin outta the chest :)

    I think lvl7s should be dug up in dungeon only. Each land should have different loot.

    The Abyss: Chance for a random SA artifact, stack of Cavern of the Discarded ingrediants, and essences

    Ilshenar: Chance for a new minor artifact only found in chests, ML gems, and essences

    Tokuno islands, chance for Pigments of Tokuno with new colors, etc etc etc.

    120 Mystic
    120 Spellweaving
    120 Focus
    100 Eval
    100 Mining
    100 Lock Picking

    Stone off carto and mining to decode about 100 maps at a time.

    Word of death almost always instantly kills any guardian at 30% health or less. This saves a big headache and alot of time when GD, AW, Renegade changelings, or frost dragons spawn. Bring a couple of slayer spellbooks and its all down hill from there.

    Almost all lvl 6 maps reguardless of facet take ten min or less each, ten min is on the though side of 3 AW or GD spawn.

    Almost all lvl 7s take about the same amount of time except for illesh wich takes a bit longer if you get those pesky renegades.

    I don't solo higher than level 5s. I leave the 6s to my hubby and we haven't tried a 7 yet.

    Perhaps one reason why they don't make Level 7's realllly hard is due to abuse they may get.

    If the mobs require a group of people to kill and I log in to them at my house.. I'm screwed. :D Maybe they can keep Level 7's specific to Ilshenar and then make them uber hard.

    If this is done, Ilishenar should also be changed to fel ruleset, or they should make a mirror ilsh with fel ruleset, something I have been a proponent of for years...
     
  13. I use a Discord/Prov Bard or a Necro/Mage. Tamers, Mystics and dexxer builds also work.

    wait wait wait ... I thought T-Maps were broken and could not be found ?

    a few of us try and try but cannot find the dig-spot, what are we doing wrong ?

    I did a few today and had no trouble.

    I will assume you have decent mining.

    The real trick is the chest isn't where the pin "sticks" in the map. The spot is usually about midway (between the red dot and the bottom of the pin) and slightly to the right.

    Unfortunately nothing really changed from beta in regards to maps. I also solo the 7s, it's not that difficult. The loot, while plentiful is not really worth the time (to me at least). It's hard to justify sorting through a lot of junk in hopes of finding a keeper, which to date, I haven't found.

    I'd like to recommend the amount of items in the 7 be reduced and the chance for quality increase.

    Recycling the artifact and bag from the level 6 chest was a disappointment not to mention the inability of taming the frost dragons and cold drakes, but that's for another post I guess.

    They're not broken, and never were, you just have to know where to look. If you don't have room for mining on your template you can get around the problem by using a screen print method.
    I didn't put it on Stratics, I kinda felt it was a bit too 'unprofessional', but I will if enough people would like me to. This works well for me.

    Agree.We can take Essense but quality of magic came back once just like an DUST BOX.
    To begin with,deterioration in the quality of Magic is a BUG isn't it?
