As has already been announced, the Cross Shard Challenge will take place on the Test Center on Saturday 9/17 at 9:00 pm EST. In order to prepare for this, we will be holding two events before then:

    Friday, 9/9 – 7pm EST – Nujel’m Chessboard in Trammel – Practice Competition
We will be repeating the preliminary event that was outlined HERE. We are doing this for a few reasons. First, is to give our current teams a chance to practice together. Secondly, however, we need to determine potential alternates should some of our players/teams not be able to make it at the last moment. Third…it is a pretty fun competition, so anyone who missed out last time can take part this time. The competitors who took part in our first event are all asked to be there, if they are available. For everyone else, come as a team of five, or we can make teams out of individuals and smaller groups.

    Wednesday, 9/14 – 8:30pm EST – Team/Community Meeting – EM Hall in Britain, Trammel

A short meeting to go over some last minute details with our teams, and to perhaps plan how best we can show our support as a shard during the competition on Test Center. Anyone who wishes to show some Catskills pride is encouraged to attend.
