Treasure Hunting is Great: BLTN

  1. Better Late Then Never.

So I am slow. I have too much gold from GM Merchanting. T-hunting has given me reason to spend gold.

The Level 2 chests were pretty good. I wanted LV-3 and can only unlock them with lock picking or 120 magery. So I splurged.

    Bought 120 Magery.
    +30 Jewelry
    +15 Mage Book
    +5 Talisman of Alchemy something
And bought 1 +5 magery trascendence scroll.

Cost a bit but I can unlock level 3 T-Maps. I am getting an Alacrity scroll pretty much in every chest. All the loot or related is going on a vendor. I will see if I can make back my 28 million. 1 million made so far.

My point. The changes gave me something to spend gold on. Gave me interest and I just wanted to declare my opinion on a successful change that has brought me a few upcoming weeks of fun.

Taking an old system that exists and updating it beats adding new crap. Though the high seas adventure is exempt. Fishing next, but I hope love to the existing dungeons might be fun. Put in random things in all dungeons. FROM cool decos, to brittle weapons of uber, to weird monsters, puzzles. Make it a random world.

Now whats the best way to build lock picking from 30. Im afraid it will take forever? The characture I made i put on animal taming instead of locking picking. My lameness in characture building.

Though I did put on 50 poisoning and with 1 point of poisoning and 120 magery, I can cast level 2 poison fields. Which is nice for the T-hunt spawns.

FYI, your 120 magery will get you thru level 4 locks.

  3. Really? I thought stratics said 3. Ill take that.

As for making gold right now. Treasure chests are a great return for time put in. I figured rather then rant about the resources being in there, I might as well join the fun.

With about 2.5 days of "training" I have my new T-hunter

99.6 Carto (1 day away from GM)

97 lockpicking (1 day away from GM)

81 mining ( (1 day away from GM)

    67 magery(enough to recall)

Money spent on building char ? Less than 200k
    13k blank scrolls
2k lockpicks (about 200 GM tinker locked chests)
Cheap LRC stuff that I had laying around

  5. Thats cool Im lazy and loaded. In game gold.

Work up that LP! It goes pretty fast, and a bit faster with the satyr in the twisted wield. If you have a spare char slot on any account you can make a char with tinkering (I think its supposed to be 10 to 20 points higher than your LP level for the chests to be at the right place?) You can also take a GM tinker to the wield and then get them discod and make up some chests so those should be good for later levels. Then GM chests for the last bit.
