So am I the only one or did the origin store url change?
Ouch. Looks like the domain has expired.
I didn't have any trouble finding the US Version.
UK seems to be fine.
Neither of those links are working for me. Takes me to an expired domain. Same as the link on uo.com.
Not working for me!
Strange. I even checked a few pages of stuff from other games to be sure it was not chached in my systems memory.
Both links work fine for me in Google Chrome
Same for me, Firefox and IE both take me to what I think is a domain hosting site and I'm in the US.
Tried Petra's link, link from UO.com and my saved bookmark, all same, no workeeee.
i often visit site and is saved as fav on internet explorer and chrome dosnt work today
The site is fine. To the OP, what happens if you try pinging? Check your hosts file, and as a Hail Mary, try resetting your router (if you're using one). A while back I had trouble with Google's sites, including Gmail and YouTube. They were very slow at best, often timing out. I plugged my cable modem directly into a desktop, no problems at all. I hadn't changed any settings on my router, but a hard reset did the trick.
No one I know can access it. Its gone.
Time is money, hope they get it back soon.
Opens fine for me
I love that page.
What browser is everyone using. I've tried several times today with no problems in Firefox. I went directly to it - through the link on UO.com and through the link under account and support on uo.com - all with no problem. I even went to pages I have never been to before to make sure it was not saved in a cache.
I use Chrome almost exclusively. I even bought another forged tool.
i use this
I am glad it works for some, but not glad it doesn't work for all. I also use Chrome Exclusively, but I tried Explorer and Firefox on both my computer, my girlfriend's computer, and my brother-in-laws computer. Could not access it. I think EA should be concerned. First Stratics gets attacked by the FBI malware, now Origin Store is inaccessible to many. Has to make you wonder, whats going on?
The linked worked fine for me "Chrome"
Works on my Samsung phone
No go for me. I can see the UO.com page and the EA.com page, but links from both of those pages to the origin store do not work for me.
I can get there with Firefox and IE8.
Working now for me
What did you do, I rebooted my modem, my router, cleared my cache, ran virus protection, you name it, I have done it. I am not happy, why is this effecting me?
This is what I see
this is also what i see
Who are your Internet providers, and as a long shot, did either of you check your hosts files?
Time Warner for two house holds. What should I do with my Host file?
I should add, I had access to the site, and bought a code on Wednesday May 15th. Yesterday I did have a Windows update, but my girlfriends and brother-in-laws computers did not. None of these computers can access the site.
its probably just a DNS problem, maybe origin moved the servers to amazon or any other place
it works for me, and i got a IP 22.214.171.124 for store.origin.com
if anyone needs desperately to use the site, u can temporarily add the line
into your hosts file, or just wait until your isp's dns do the propagation
ps: another option is to use google's dns or opendns but you will have to google it in order to know how to do it
All ok here from Central Europe using IE 9
I was thinking more of the long shot that something somehow put an entry in your hosts file, which you can open in Notepad to check.
Apetul's suggestion is a good one, but that isn't the IP I get. Pinging store.origin.com shows its IP as 126.96.36.199.
I think it has something to do with area or time warner. I can't access origin.store.com on my smart phone, my tablet, my friends computer, my girlfriend computer, or my sister's computer. We do all have time warner.
i was reading this thread and thought to myself that i needed to pick up a couple game time codes for 2 accounts that i have that are holding houses.
went to the Origin site..... dead just like everyone in this thread is saying.
and im NOT on Time Warner.
Ohhh you know what, the IP i got is for the european store. I live in Argentina (South america, if anyone doesnt know? lol) and origin store always redirects me to the european version of the store.
Today I bought 2 gametime codes (6months and 1 month) and I paid €57,45 EUR that were converted to $76,35 USD. I would like to be able to select the store I want to use, but oh well i dont think there is so much difference on the prices.
So anyway, maybe 188.8.131.52 is the right IP to try on hosts file if you are from US.
It started to happen here as well today.
DNS propagation at work there... Soon it will hit everyone.
Still, how EA managed to not renew origin.com?
Domain and site is fine, its just that *maybe* someone moved the server to another place and the DNS servers didnt propagates the changes yet.
and now its working.
some of us had the same problem and I called UO tech support. They suggested I run a virus scan which I did and it fixed the problem, I can get to the uo store now. One guy just rebooted his computer and that worked for him.
Sounds like some of you picked up some malware, hooray!
It is working now as well. It was definitely a DNS problem with store.origin.com, but it was fixed once the proper DNS propagated again.
What virus was found? It's doubtful that did anything here. The support rep probably thinks that if a car won't start, and you jingle the keys in your pocket three times, then the car starts, it was because of the keys.
