    As I am sure you are aware Origin does not have any codes avaliable for sale right now. We have supplied new codes and they should be up on the store within the next couple of days.

    Thank you for your patience and we will let everyone know as soon as we do when we can expect the return of codes on the store front.

    No, the codes will be put up "in the next couple of days". Which is code (not available at the store) for after the sale ends.

    No reason to extend the sale.

    If you had your money to buy a code yesterday and they are back up on the store Saturday you should be able to get what you want.

    They've been down since Wednesday so even if you had your money yesterday or even Wednesday night you still couldn't buy one, and I'm willing to bet they won't show up till after the sale is over. Mesanna didn't even mention the sale in her post.

    I really do wish we could buy more than one item at a time.

    Even a 5 item limit would help.

    When you need multiple transfer tokens or pens of wisdom it is inconvenient for sure.

    It's really too bad (and kinda pathetic) that the illegal and un-named sites offer equal pricing and a much more user friendly customer experience. Can you imagine if the UO store could offer that level of service... Buy what you want, as many as you want, and have the items hand delivered to you in game. *shrugs* I forget, EA is only a billion dollar business and should not be bothered by such trivial things as customers who want to spend money or customer service...

    Glad I got my purchases made early on, even though after my second transaction I said screw it and did not buy as much as I would have if I could have just bought all the items I wanted the first time.

    I got all I wanted on Wednesday. EA isn't the only company I've seen "run out" of digital stock.

    But the entire 1 of each item per transaction is pathetic. So many times I've had my bank accounts locked and the bank ring up about suspicious activity.

    I can't get over a company that you have to beg to take you money and generally regards their customer base as vermin.
    I also play the Assassin's Creed series on my Xbox One, while Ubisoft is FAR from perfect (Google Assassin's Creed Unity Launch and the Season pass fiascoes) At least they try to communicate. For the season pass blunder they gave everyone that had bought one a free game from their catalog. They are fairly nice and seem to get the idea that the customers are who pay your salaries and keep the lights on. :)

    I wish the people at EA had a boss that was a Steve Jobs clone....LMAO. We studied him in Principles of Management, you'd only screw up huge with Jobs once. He was overbearing, tyrannical, almost to the point of being a dictator, but he made Apple a success. Why, because he held himself and everyone to extremely high standards. If employees are a reflection of the management style then EA's must be shut the h*** we don't actually care. According to their quarterlies they have continually shown a loss. You know if you aren't showing a profit isn't it time to figure out the problem and change how you are doing things.

    EA's business practices boggle the mind.

    I have an idea! Contact Origin (NO) support feign interest in 90 day gametime codes, that you must have one to pay for you account or you will have to close it. (double revenue loss). If they have a sudden surge of people wanting UO codes they might be inspired to put them back. Its called supply and demand. If they really want to make money the will yield to the demand! :D

    Should and would are two very different things... we all know it "ought" to be extended... but really does EA give a rats about UO? I highly doubt it... If they did we'd have at least twice as many DEV's as we do.


    Although my argument to them before was how the hell do they expect UO to have good sales and bring in a revenue that would sustain a larger dev team if we can't buy what we would like or need when we need it....

    Half the people can't get their accounts back, another bunch can't buy things because they don't live in the states, and another bunch would buy a bunch of items.... but we can only buy one at a time and it's often too much of a pain so they go to 3rd party sites and buy tokens that are duped so they can buy in bulk and at a discount... but what do I know about economics and sales...

    And you can bet it will be after 10am West Coast time and it will be followed by how sorry they are this happened but there is nothing they can do about it. LMAO This is 100% their fault because if it is the codes then they should have made sure there were enough of them or if they pulled the sale for UO items only then shame, shame, shame on them. This will just be another SOON in a long list of SOONs so why would we expect anything else from BS.

    like THIS is gonna be the straw that breaks the camels back for us after 18 years, haha!

    if we wanted customer service we wouldn't be playing a game owned and operated by Origin (EA, Mythic, Broadsword or what ever they are calling the owners this year).

    its a shame we are missing the cheap glittery stuff but lets be honest - if we wanted cheap we wouldn't have been paying to play UO for all these years. we are invested. we are addicted. we are in for the long haul.

    and in case the Dev's want to give us a little bump to keep their addicts happy..... soul stone frag tokens, just like you gave us years ago to make the butt hurt go away, soul stone frags for everyone, that's all im gonna say, i can be bought off with tokens, we are due for another infusion of those delicious little tokens!

    It seems like they should have been doing this for years, it's not like it costs them anything to give away random items every so often when things get messed up. If their concerned about people selling them, just make them account bound. Seems like it would be a whole lot easier just to drop some free stuff on players as little apology gifts once in a while instead of having to deal with endless complaints every time anything goes wrong. I think we can all agree that UO players don't forget anything bad that has ever happened in this game no matter how long ago it happened. We still talk about the reverts some shards had when Luna opened. That was 12 years ago lol. We apparently refuse to ever let anything go, so might as well try dropping some free stuff in the game every once in a while to keep the masses relatively satisfied to the point where they might not feel the need to complain for years on end about whatever bad thing happened.

    Whilst true enough, to be honest, since the things that go wrong are far too often repeats of earlier things that went wrong before, why would we 'forget' what happened historically when we get regular reminders when it happens again... and again.. and again? I'm past caring about silly gift items, and meaningless apologies, I just want to see them get things right for once instead of sticking to the same old errors, bungling and excuses.

    But being realistic, if that has not happened by now it never will..... after all, since we have kept on paying all this time, why would they need to make the effort to do stuff right now?

    The sad part is that we accept this as standard service and keep on paying and playing UO and if it were any other thing in real life that we pay money for we would have told the company to shove it. IMHO I honestly think that UO knows how we love our game and know that we will accept this so they do not try as hard as maybe other games or other real life services that we pay for. If I gave customer service like this or backed my services the way UO does I would have to have gotten a real job after I retired the first time.

    Pride is a strong motivator for a lot of people when they put their work out there for others to see. Most people will bend over backwards to make sure the job is done right the first time and they do not offer excuses as to why they provided substandard work in the first place. IMHO UO has lost a lot of its pride and love for its product and it shows in the substandard customer service, communication and product that we receive as paying customers.

    Learned my lesson from that fiasco and now I have one character at least on every shard on my accounts. ...

    But yes indeed we "accept" this sort of treatment. I sometimes feel like the dog who gets beaten over and over but still wags his tail when his master comes home. Or like an abused child who still loves the parents even after years of abuse.

    We all know how EA is. Yet we still support an EA game. Whether they say they are Broadsword or whatever they are still EA. We are still under the Yoke of EA... Until Broadsword switches our accounts onto some other service and we are given the new in-game store and all like we heard was coming we'll still have to put up with the idiocy of EA games marketing.

    One thing I have done in the past and I do encourage all people to do is write to the CEO's of EA and tell them exactly how you feel about UO. Those of us who are extremely passionate about UO and have been here and have a strong love and support for the game should let them know... We should voice our opinions and tell them how much UO means to us. I did it before and I'd do it again.

    All I know is, I'm glad I didn't have any account needing game time this week to save a house from falling. This is getting a little silly - and with a sale ending tomorrow, it also looks starts to really look like bait-and-switch on Origin's part. *Digital* products were on sale, then suddenly aren't available for the rest of the sale at ANY price?

    THP, aye, we'll all take it, this won't be the final straw. But if they're not even selling the game or game time, then they don't need us to quit for the game to die a quick death.

    Just an FYI, but you can still buy game time through account management. You just have to cancel the subscription when it goes through, its what I ended up doing. Either way it ended up being the same amount of money I would have spent if I was able to purchase a code.

    You could always just... pay for your account and not just pay every fourth month to cheat the system, or give up a house you aren't paying for or...

    Sorry but i can't hear this you are cheating bs anymore.
    It's not cheating if the system is that way. If they didn't want it to be like this, they could have made the start-to-decay timer "one week"...and i honestly think they make way more money with me having one permanent house + 5 non-permanent...than me just having one permanent. This game just has sooooooo many items and rares that it gets pretty easy to run out of storage space with only one house. I suspect eating sphaghetti with fork and spoon counts as cheating aswell in your opinion if you could eat it with your bare hands....
