    Not sure if this info will help you but I have a VOIP service I have had for 7 years from Lingo. Costs me 25 bucks a month and I can call long distance and 45 countires with no additonal charge. May help with people outside the US that dont want to pay for long distance calls in the US or anywhere

    I've tried calling the UK numbers but they havent got access to the new migration system so they cant do jack. 25 bucks is alot of money to spend to make a call. Virtually all calls I make are free in the UK but overseas costs 10p per min and that soon adds up.

    and what about the people that have said they have to wait on the phone for an hour or more - isn't it Long Distance to 99% of all users?

    Well thanks to EA's s**t customer service, some git has stolen one of my accounts and they wont do anything about it. Even the UK Rep I spoke to admitted he couldnt do anything as they were on the old system and didnt have access to the new migrated system.

    As there is little choice I'll either have to spend loads of money calling America (Which I dont have so not a realistic option) or I'll have to let the person who stole the account have fun with it.

    Don't let your account go that easily Salivern. Email them daily if you have to, I'm sure i've seen mentions of a live chat thing use that - if they say you need to ring then ask them for a UK number where someone can actually help and tell them what the UK guys said. Heck PM Jeff/Mesanna as well - someone must be able to do something

    A live chat facility would be great for people that can read and write English but can't speak it too well. There's no way an EA rep would be able to understand my Glaswegian.

    I've tried calling a UK number, they cant help at all. I've tried live chat and they refuse to do anything as I have to call a US number. I've emailed a number of times and now they've stopped responding to my emails.

    All in all, EA has p***ed me off royally but not giving a toss about thier customers. I thought they actived quickly when this sort of thing happened.. Its been a week now and its still stuffed.

    Thing is, they wonder why people leave... This is one very good reason why!

    [EDIT] Everywhere I've tried I've been told to call the US number, I was on the phone to EA UK Technical Support for 2 hours trying to sort this out. But they are NOT on the new migrated system so they cant do anything. Only the US call center seems to be able to do this. Its just rubbish that I cannot relcaim this damn account because I'm not American or not rich!

    Only other suggestion I can offer is try the Skype route it should cost far less than traditional landline

    besides the cost, you have to call in the middle of the night if you don't live near USA :D

    Someone suggested Skype the other day. My CC is getting paid off next monday so I'll prob go the skype route and call then.

    TBH with the account, all its items are probably long gone now and knowing my luck so will have the characters. From what the Rep told me he said they must have been taken some time ago. He tried his best though and reset the data at his end but sadly it was the wrong system and they dont have access to the new one.

    Aye, luckilly it wasnt my top 3 accounts. But it had alot of items on it and some well trained charas. It was only when i went though my archives I realised that it hadnt shown up during migration (Along with another 2 accounts).

    I smell BS on that one (or maybe someone can explain it to me) The 'old' system??? So they're working on a non-converted, which means out of date and incomplete, DataBase? So they wouldn't be able to update or handle Anything (other than quoting 'old' information) seems to me, If they update something in the 'old one', it would have to update the 'new' one (more migration) wouldn't it?

    essentially UK CS has nothing to do when it comes to UO? wow, what a break - same as the GM's

    so you need a relative or friend in US for support, another in Japan if you want to save some money (since they have promotions on their game code store...) and another one that is GM in case you need in game assistance... :D
